As some undoubtedly guessed, the plan for Summerslam has long been Matt Hardy vs. Edge. Once Hardy works his first actual match with WWE, he is expected to return to the road and begin working full-time.

Considering the hype for Matt and the hate for Edge at the mo......... this match will sell the entire PPV. huh.gif
Subtemperate
That is assuming that they don't ruin it beforehand....

When is summerslam again?
Believer101
August 21st
Subtemperate
So three more weeks of JBL vs Batista build up....

Can't wait.....
AtticusBlueprint
Hmmm here is how I picture it...

JBL: I am a wrestling god!

Batista: You talkin to me?

Or JBL just goes out and talks for 20 min either one, because Batista wasn't even on Smackdown thursday.
Eskimo
Oh my god! I just saw Batista vs Christian on Smackdown and I do believe Christian IS in fact getting a push. He lost the match but kicked some serious Batista ass before doing so. It was amazing. He was pretty much dominating the match. He's had some pretty solid matches lately and as I said before, he's getting cheered. If we have a little more faith in the WWE then maybe they'll do something with him. It was also a good episode of Smackdown in whole witch was a refreshing surprise. Benoit vs Booker T was a good match. It was the episode where the bWo appeared. As i've mentioned before I'm a little bit behind on Smackdown here in Finland.
Subtemperate
lol...so you just behind him losing to Booker T....

Christian as an entertainer has been pushed, to become popular, him as a wrestler has not... since i can remember..... The only fueds i remember him fondly in were against Jericho and Edge before that....

Fox News had a feature today on WWE killing off the Muhammad Hassan character. Nothing new was mentioned, although when one of the reporters found out that Hassan was actually Italian he stated that he could return as a mobster and Italian-Americans could get offended instead.

Shhhhhh don't give them any ideas.

QUOTE
There are also two bonus features on disc 2. The first is "Ultimate Impressions" in which current WWE superstars do their best impersonation of Warrior. It is sad to say the least - Benoit foams at the mouth and yells at the top of his voice...HHH messes his hair all up and pretends to be Warrior shaking the ropes, and Batista ties some bootlaces around his arms and talks to his hands. More insulting, there is a "Warrior Calamaties" montage of times when Warrior has made mistakes - slipping over, bloopers during interviews, botched moves, etc.

I want this DVD laugh.gif
Subtemperate
"The Ultimate Blooper"?

Rob Schneider, star of Deuce Bigalow 2, will serve as special official for the Queen of the Mountain competition tonight on RAW.

huh.gif

Queen of the Mountain eh? I wonder if Jeff Jarrett will show up
Talon
Oh god, what are the going to do now? hmm.gif

I remember back in Jan I started playing TEW with two feds, WWE using their matches and stories that I found on the official website, and my own fictional thread.

WWE's was scoring around 66% a show I was around the 80%s. I wonder what the TEW would have made of the diva search? 12% each section?
AtticusBlueprint
Could WWE get a negative number tongue.gif

Hey if you can't get The Rock, I mean isn't Rob Schneider the next best thing

The following is from the official website (nativetatanka.com) of Chris "Tatanka" Chavis:

"Yes... for those of you who may have noticed, Chris will be participating on WWE programming tonight... most likely in the Masterlock Challenge segment. Stay tuned here for more news in the next few days!"

Many talents have
appeared on this disc to talk about Warrior - Bobby
Heenan, Pat Patterson, Paul London, HHH, JR, John
Cena, Batista, Hogan, Eddie, Benoit and others - and
every single one of them has painted him a negative
light

What's the problem with that? huh.gif He was a roided up idiot.
AtticusBlueprint
I barely remember Tatanka

QUOTE
As previously reported, Chris "Tatanka" Chavis is backstage at RAW right now. The only speculation heard right now is that the company were looking for a Native American character as the show is emanating from the Mohegan Sun Casino.

- To update on Vince McMahon's "major announcement" tonight - it's likely to involve Brock Lesnar and his role at WWE SummerSlam 2005.

It would be far better for a surprise run in by Brock at SS

Thank god they didn't start a creative writing program....

For those who watched RAW...I actually believe the Shawn Michaels segment where he mocked Hogan may just be the single most entertaining skit they've had in years.

It was amazing...something outside a ring that was actually worth watching on WWE programming.
Subtemperate
Raw is on tomorrow here, so i shall try and check it out if i have time.....

From all reports you are very correct (if i ever doubted anyway) and its an all time classic.

The most ironic part is, of course, that it perfectly simulates what I see whenever I look at, or listen to Hulk Hogan tongue.gif
Subtemperate
All I see is "Mr nanny" lol
AtticusBlueprint
I'm not the biggest HBK fan like most Canadians tongue.gif , but even I got to say that was pure gold. The only 2 things that brought it down were HBK mocking Hogan's politics because it was obvious that they were trying to make it like a shoot(plus HBK really has no right calling Hogan a politician wink2.gif ) and the horrible way "Larry King" sold that super kick. BROTHER!

Yeah...he even looked down at the wig Michaels threw at him, before remembering he's supposed to be limp tongue.gif

Hogan.... well in this one HBK can win....

I hope HBK wins but I'm not actually sure, both of them really have nothing to gain from doing this. I'm sure the crowd will be split though because Shawn does bring up great points about Hogan

I just find it odd that Raw has great wrestler heels in HHH, Angle, Michaels......

Smackdown?

JBL, and christian....

kinda a mismatch... I do hope brock gets on that list...lol

Great news people, the HBK segments on WWE.com. We get to watch it all over again laugh.gif

I'm glad that Matt Hardy is back to get revenge on Edge.We all knew that would happen someday. I hope it is a hell in a celll match between them.

Plus,I hope Brock Lesnar returns at Summer Slam,It has bin reported that he would return to raw or smackdown after. grin2.gif
TheEssenceofExcellence
I gota say.... Aside from the Larry King guy not selling the super kick good enough, I loved the HBK segment on Raw last night. Why the hell didn't the WWE turn him Heel again a long time ago????

The Ottawa Citizen recently grouped Hulk Hogan in the category of fringe has-been celebrities. The following is from the article:

"Reality series are inexpensive to produce, and shorter in cycle than fictional shows (generally six episodes instead of 13), (so) if a show flops, it's no biggie. There's another one waiting in the wings. All this helps to explain Hogan Knows Best on VH1, in which hairy ex-wrestler Hulk Hogan is revealed as just another puzzled patriarch wondering if it's okay to let a 22-year-old college guy take his 16-year-old daughter on her first date."

Hogan is said to be thrilled with the article as they described him as being "hairy."

I'm 99 percent sure this is just part of the work they have been putting on, to try to draw some sense of surprise when/if he shows up. But if, by chance, it ISN'T, I dont get what the point was of even talking about the Lesnar discussions in the first place. Stranger things have happened though - the whole WWE.com coverage COULD have been a way to further bury Lesnar IF he didnt agree to return. It seems overly petty though and I dont think that is whats happening here. I fully expect to see Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Although it did say something along the lines of "He agreed, and then backed out...."

Notably this is what happened between Sting and WWE 2 years ago, after a verbal contract was made..... Lawyers got involved and it all went nowhere...

Better question is: What is it going to take to succeed? What do you thilnk TNA must do when it gets on Spike?

IMO the main event on TNA's first show needs to be remiscent of Flair vs. Sting at the first CotC. In other words, the match should be VERY good and create a star in the process.
