A week or so ago it was being said that Batista would be in a program with Eddie Guerrero after SummerSlam while Rey Mysterio would be in one with Randy Orton. Now, there is talk that WWE might go right to Orton vs. Batista after SummerSlam.

As reported, the original plan was for Hulk Hogan to defeat Shawn Michaels at the Summerslam PPV. The only way that plan would potentially change is if WWE is going with a rematch at Unforgiven, at which point, the two would split victories (with Michaels likely taking the first).

To reiterate, Bret Hart will not be working the PPV.

- Kurt Angle is set to move into the title picture next month, so he needs to come off as a credible main-event heel in his match with Eugene.

- John Cena was set to defeat Chris Jericho and leave Summerslam with the title still around his waist.

- The stipulation in the JBL vs. Batista match assures that it will be an all-out brawl, which as has been demonstrated many times in the past, is the far better solution for a match involving these two wrestlers.

Chris Benoit is the heavy favorite to win against Orlando Jordan tonight and he is expected to go into a feud with the newly turned William Regal. WWE has the mindset of trying a match first and then judging the reaction to it. They did this with Guerrero-Mysterio at the beginning of the year on SmackDown! and turned it into a high profile feud, and with Regal and Benoit, WWE placed them in a match on Velocity and heavily promoted it to see how it would do. The overall reaction was that the match was a serious candidate for WWE match of the year and thus, WWE is planning on pushing a feud between the two.

The following highlights are from a Bret Hart Question & Answer session which took place at today's NWA Legends Convention in North Carolina:

- Hart says he is over WWE, but hopes they don't forget what they did to him. To him, the "screwjob" was never a storyline and his heart will never be with WWE again. He said he'd rather work with TNA or someone else.

- When asked about HHH by a fan who got cursed at by Hunter for holding a Bret Hart sign, Hart said he was a "no good piece of s***"."

- Hart says he puts more blame on Shawn Michaels and Triple H rather than Vince McMahon. Hart says there was a code of trust among wrestlers which Michaels and Hunter both broke.

- Bret said if it had been anyone else in Montreal, he would have had no problem dropping the belt. He said his issue was with Shawn Michaels and also lamented about their locker room fight.
