I see WWE played the Jericho is fired card....
I wonder where he will be after his break, Raw or smackdown....

Aug 23 2005, 10:55 AM
Maybe he really WAS fired on RAW and will get a job at TNA.....Maybe debut at TNA Unbreakable?
On a side note:Ric Flair was on Carlito's Cabana, Torrie and candice have been traded to RAW(For Christy and Stacy) and they attacked ashley, plus Kurt Angle is no.1 contender and Hardy got attackede by edge.

I doubt he was fired for real..... They would not give him the exposure if they wanted him gone.

But I would still like to see him dominate TNA along with AJ Styles, Raven, Sean Waltman etc.

What ever happened to people getting over through wrestling, rather than this rubbish '30 second challenge' every wrestler seems to have nowadays.
Subtemperate
Aug 23 2005, 02:35 PM
That doesnt mean they are any better.... Goldberg got over from wrestling, god knows how...... Suppose it was because he was stiff and destroyed opponents in 3 minutes..... but yeah.....
I do like the challenge idea, but having Kurts/Masters challenge is indeed very.....stupid....
Kinda like having pipers pit/carlitos carbana hut/christians one/jerichos highlight reel...... but at least those are generally entertaining...

Because of couch-fans. The same reason Hogan and Ultimate Warrior got over

Im not so sure about that, supposedly when he reached star status he wasn't with WWE (or whatever it was called at that time... he was with AWA and New Japan Pro Wrestling....
QUOTE
When competing in Japan, Hogan used a vastly different repotire of wrestling moves, relying on more "scientific" (i.e., technical, more amateur style-seeming) looking traditional wrestling holds and maneuvers as opposed to the power-based (feats of strength), brawling style U.S. fans were accustomed to seeing from him.
That...would have been interesting....

I dunno, Kane is actually more talented than most other slow guys such as JBL, Taker and Big Show. Plus, Kane HAS been in the business for 8 years, but yet he is not 'old'.

Rey's okay, but I feel he has one problem with his matches. Every single one of them is the same high flying moves over and over again. That said, he's more talented than the usual spot-monkeys

Kane is ok for a big guy, i prefer Taker's in ring work myself... but that could be the gimmick talking.....
I prefer the big show, I mean hes big enough to get over without having a big repotoire..... So i cant see why they havent pushed him more of a monster then currently.....
Kane is just an average size guy for that show now....

-- Kevin Nash has been telling friends that WWE called him to work the SummerSlam PPV. Apparently they wanted him to run in and do a screw job angle during the main event, allowing Michaels to win. Nash ended up turning down the idea, which surprised a lot of people since he would have been paid much more than what TNA was paying him, mainly just to put over Jeff Jarrett.
The fact that at one point in time, Hogan was supposed to be screwed and lose to Shawn at SummerSlam, just goes to show how much confusion there was surrounding the finish of the match right up until the last minute.
I thought Kevin Nash would tear his quad just getting up to answer the phone

I don't know if the couch fans would get behind Hogan if he started using technical moves. They love his feats of strength. I mean it would be changing a style that's God knows how old! I would love to see it though.
Another thing is. I think RVD is one hell of a spot monkey. They used to have his tag matches every week on Raw before he transferred and I was getting bored of his repetitive moves. His sommersault shoulder blocks against the turnbuckle, His thrustkick off the top rope, his monkey flip, his spinning legdrop, his rolling thunder and his five star frogsplash. It was like he was wrestling the same match every week. Don't get me wrong though, that's a lot more moves than Cena has.
Also. About The Carlito vs Benjamin matches on Raw. Carlito seems to me to be a much better wrestler than Benjamin. I mean it looks deadly when he sells moves. Benjamin on the other hand no-selled everything Carlito did including the DDT! Twice! He was his same energetically smiling ain't no stoppin' me self even though his head had just been smashed into the canvas!

The way WWE do their programming, most of its wrestlers are somewhat spot monkeys. They are given minimum time to have a match, and are expected to put in their signature moves, which RVD does have about as many as anyone. Give him a longer match, say 30 min, and im sure you'd find it entertaining.
Also remember WWE keep telling their wrestlers who are high risk and flashy to dull down their move sets.... So, people like him and Rey, just wont look the same... unless allowed to go at it for a longer then usual period, at their own pace.
