I read about this entity called the "Bad Joke". It may or may not be a supernatural being but it is said to be this person described as wearing this clown or jester suit complete with the funny hat with the jingling bells and funny jingling shoes and white facepaint on his face (I say his because it's a male).

According to witnesses this Jester who calls himself "bad joke" pops out of nowhere and pulls corny and cheap gags and causes mischief and then he mysteriously vanishes without a trace. He has been sighted around the Los Angeles area and most sightings of him took place in a local mall.

Anyone know any more info on this subject?

I can't provide any more info on this guy, because I've never heard of him but I don't beleive that he is a ghost. He just sounds like someone who knows his way around the area, and is able to hide before anyone sees him. That would explain the vanishing part, unless he does it right in front of their eyes...

As for the clown part, maybe he just likes clowns?

that reminds me of a guy who drove around the states way back when dressed as a clown. he wore a shirt with a picture of a devil on it and slaughtered kids after luring them into his van.

I don't think he is a ghost either; according to witnesses he is strongly physicaly seen. I don't know what he is.

Two supposed sightings of him took place in the mall I was mentioning. In one, a man said he was harrassed in a restroom by a "man dressed in a clown uniform with a hat and looked to be around 6' 2" and had white facepaint". The thing is, the man had his friends waiting outside the restroom and when the clown ran outside before the man and the man chased him out, he asked his friends if they saw anybody running and his friends said they didn't see anyone come out of the bathroom bfore him. And in another sighting an employee at a book store said a man dressed in a jester outfit came in and toppled over the bookshelves and ran out.

Some say the jester uses optical illusions and tricks and mirrors; which would suposively explain his dissapearances. Whta do you think?

So who is this person?

Or is he merely what his name implies; just bad joke?

Sounds just like a prankster to me the only sign that might make him seem like a ghost would be if he disappeared in front of your eyes. blink.gif Hmmm I'm gettig hooked on this paranormal stuff. wacko.gif
southampton enigma
I must agree with 50cent and the others on this one, everything points to it as being a prankster acting like an idiot around the streets just for a bit of attention, if you manage to see this nutjob on the streets give him a nice friendly tap on the shoulder lol and tell him to find another way of amusing himself, and that his gags are awful

EDIT: Just tidying up those lose ends we discussed Southhampton enigma original.gif
