Does anybody know anything about negs? I was flipping through a psychic self-defense book at a book store, and it kept talking about how when you are defending yourself against psychic attacks, you're actually defending yourself from these creatures the author referred to as "Negs". Seemed like bull to me, but who knows?

Negative energy, probably...

Well yeah, the author said that they were of negative energy, but made it sound like they were evil ghosts or demons or something. And that they like to invade people's bodies, and that the more psychic you are, the more you attract them.

This may sound weird, but I do remember one night about a year ago, that I woke up about twenty minutes after going to sleep, and just sensed this evil presence hovering over me. I woke up all freaked out, and I actually remember as I woke up that I was pushing up at it, to keep it away from me. I guess this makes me more open to the idea than I would be otherwise.

I think negs do exist, but your own mind makes them powerful, if you think they can't harm you, they won't.

I don't believe in psychic attacks I never heard of this neg before, and I don't believe that ghosts or anything like that can hurt you.

These are people who constantly "broadcast" a negative or overbearing feeling automatically . Ya ... they exist . Lucky for you non-psi folk you dont have much to worry about as this only bothers people who can sense energy . Its kind of like when they walk into the room you can feel this irritating pressure emitting from them . Or just simply a sad feeling , or it could be pride ( people who are excessively pridefull often send out negative energy )

People who give out negative energy ussually do so for a reason . This does not mean they are aware of it though . Its often due to something that has happened in there life , or sometimes it may be because they are just a crummy and arrogant person in general . ( one reason some psions stay away from the "In" crowd at school )

I've never heard of a neg, but I have had a psychic attack before...I was awful...the day before I was just fine, but all of a sudden I just felt like I wasn't worth anything and that everything was just pointless. I felt 100% despairing and without hope and then I just went into my room and started crying. Nothing happened to me that would have caused it and all of a sudden I was just drained of all hope whatsoever. That was the worst one that I've had, but now I'm pretty good at repelling them.

That depends . If you had nothing happen that may have caused it , such as a death in the family ... and the feeling came suddenly , then left a while after suddenly ... then it could have been a psionic attack . Very few people can do such a thing , so its best to be sure before you assume someone has psionically attacked you .

Yes, it came and went very suddenly. I'm not accusing anyone of attacking me or anything, I only have a faint idea of who might have done it...but anyway is was very sudden. It was during Christmas break, too. I was in a reasonably good mood before it happened, and nothing happened that may have caused it. I remember distinctly that I was wondering why I was feeling so sad in the first place.

BTW my next psi guide is going to be on shields . So you may want to pay attention to that one . Just be sure you can make a psi-ball first .

I don't find that arrogant people, and the in-crowd drain energy, but some people just do it randomly.

It's a pity, because one person I know and like to talk to can drain energy at an alarming rate unless you have a VERY strong shield. It makes talking to him very tricky. Before anyone says so, no I can't talk to him about this and get him to stop his draining.

I think Negs is supposed to be a collective term for non-physical beings that cause harm.

also every day pepole are going dull and like "blah" on you and sometimes my shield breaks down when i hug pepole though i become more open but i try to make someone atlest 1% happy. heh, but im really careful of what i think or when i have some one upset me i store it in like a huge bin that i like to call '' I DONT GIVE A sh**" box in my mind and then i reflect on it and make my self a better person but always try and make pepole feel better. Also i pick up pepoles feelings as i go by them so yhea negs are like really mean "crack headed-poo flinging" bad pepole. but i think best way for me and discharge my negtive energy into the ground.. and then try and purify the spot. ^-^ BECUSE KITTYS LOVE MY PATIO and i dont need them scraching my face while i have my coffe in the morning
