who's interested in or knows anything about orbs?
I took this pic, i don't think much of it, but what do you all think?
the bright object in the pic, what the hell could it be?
I'm quite the keen photographer. I was just testing the flash after cleanin the camera...and this came up in the pic, no dust on the lens at all.
Any plausable explanations?
P.S The moon was NOT out, it was just taken a few hours ago

One more thing. I took a few more pics, all had varying sizes of bright orbs like that, this was the biggest one.

The problem here is that the night is full of flying insects etc and you can't be sure if this and the other smaller orbs are caused by light reflecting of them. It's possible, it's not insects at all, but it looks likely.

Open-minded-skull,
My guess is that it's probably something blown off of the bush in the background , or perhaps what's the green stick thing that looks like a flower stem of some sort ?
It's at the bottom left hand corner .

I think Kismit's right. A dead dandelion head blown off it's stalk?

Hey all,
Thanks for replying. can't be rain as it wasn't rainin at all at night, doubt it would be a dandelion.
As for it being haunted, i hope not as it's in my garden! there used to be an old rail track just up from where the pic was taken, the sleepers and fencing are still there in some places...not sure if anythin happened there to cause death.
I think personally, like i did at the time, that they can be explained by insects.
but just to get re-assurance i thought i'd ask you guys. Didn't really think at first that the bigger orbs could possibly the reflection of insects.
Thanks all

Take another photo and post it up here. These are quite interesting
Its too big and bright to be from an insect, so maybe it really is a ghost. try doing some research on this railway and see if you can find any death incidences.

I'll take pics A.S.A.P may'be not tonight though, but before monday night i'll put a few more up.
I had pics of much smaller orbs, a lot of 'em just in one pic. thought nothing of the smaller ones, they looke more like insects, but that one was good.

Well no, not exactly, lol.
The problem is, when you take a photograph at night, any object near to the flash will reflect the brief brilliant illumination and look brighter than it is naturally. That's why I always look pasty on party photos....
Conversely, if you take a photo of an object agains a lighter background, as in an insect against the sky, it will look darker than it does naturally. Hence the 'flying rod' phenomenon.
I'm sticking to my explanation...

I'm not an expert or anything, but could something be wrong with your camera?

Hey Xanubia
I've had the camera for only 3 months, but it works perfectly.
All other pics i've taken are of good quality.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
