FORT WORTH, Texas -- A Texas man claims he captured the images of an unidentified flying object on his camcorder.

The man from Mission, Texas, doesn't want to be identified but did say he was alerted to the object by his dogs in the middle of the night.

The man said the dogs woke him up by barking and he saw the light when he went outside to investigate.

The man said he literally could not believe his eyes and that he saw bright lights, unlike any he had ever seen before. He added that the lights danced around the sky and changed color and shape.

While the man didn't want to speculate on the object's origin, some of his friends who viewed the tape believe he may have been in the company of aliens.

"I've seen UFOs in the past but not as bad as this one. I'm very surprised. And once again it makes me wonder, 'Are we really alone?'" said Jose Nieto, friend of the UFO spotter.

The man said there were 15 lights in the sky that he could see but only focused his lens on the one that appeared to be changing shapes.

A spokesperson for the Mission Police Department said no one else reported a suspicious flying object.

Video and slideshow here.

Well, Texas is right by Mexico...

I think he could have showed the other 14 lights, so i'm not 100% on believing it but it is a major possibility.

Not really very clear to comment about but if i had to comment about it, i would say that it could've been a flash light.

I only viewed the slideshow but I think the images are too vague and blurry to offer any form of evidence.

What a pity.

Thanks, Kellalor for the link, though. original.gif

I think I saw this on the news recently but the quality of the filming made it difficult to focus on the objects. Such a shame to waste an opportunity like that.

hehe that newsguy is funny

''others speculate it may be a flashlight...others meaning me''
''no no one reported a suspicious flying object except for the man who reported the suspicious flying object''

anyway, yeah i think it is just a guy with a torch.

The newsman also suggested it could be a flashlight. One other possibility is ball lightning. If they had more definite shapes and/or windows I would be more prone to believe they were of other-worldly origin.

LOL, I live like a hour away from Mission. I remember when this came out on the news. Its kinda of a maybe it is, maybe it isnt kinda of thing. But anything is possible. I do recall seeing a blue donut object fly above my car, and I was like HOLY sh**!!!, did you see that as I exclaimed to my friend, we had just started hitting home from street racing. Crazy stuff, but the most amazing thing to do is, since I live soo close to the coast, its awesome to go out in a boat, about a couple of miles from the coast, and just anchor down, on a clear night, and look at the sky. You see some many weird things, satelites, planes, shooting stars, and on lots of occasions lights that you cant exclaim. CRAZY
