Until March, Mr. Dayn Riegel and his girlfriend kept 77 cats in their house in Lawrenceville, Ga., but a Humane Society spokesman said he saw no problem, in that all appeared to be in good health and well-fed, and Riegel's home was clean (though filled with litter boxes). Riegel recorded each cat's history on a computer database, provided one packaged meal and one special meal a day for each, and turned over 60 pounds of cat litter a week. (During a recent move from the home, Riegel gave away just a few of the cats.) [Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 3-20-04]

I love cats! I CO-OP at a vets office and I know people who have 7 cats in their homes. The only reson they don't have 10000000000 cats is they don't have the time or money!
This is your 15th thread this morning! You must be going for a record! Good luck with that! thumbsup.gif

Why keep 77 cats, why not make it a round 80 instead grin2.gif . Isn't one enough? They must be spending a fotune to look after them all.

Wow! I seen an episode of Michigan Humane Society/ animal police. They comfiscated over 200 cats from and empty house. The owner of the house said he originaly started with only a couple, but they kept breeding. So he just left them go , and went in a couple x a week and sumped out a bag of cat food for them. The complaint came of course, from the nieghbors. They said the odor was betting so bad that the whole nieghborhood reaked of cat urine. YUCK!

having a couple of cats is ok, but the more you have the more it costs to look after them, I can't even begin to imagine who much it costs them in food and litter blink.gif , but at least the cats are healthy and well looked after, that is the main point
