The port of RE2 onto Gamecube has some interesting features.

A) From the start you have access to the HUNK mini-game, and the 2 arrange modes (basically easy and SUPER easy modes) you also have Battle Mode unlocked from the start. Pretty neat!

You can actually by Zero, Remake, 2, 3 and CV in a box set for 109.99 Canadian. 5 games, pretty decent price. That's like 80 bucks american i think.

You get a bunch of extras with it too.

Weskers Report DVD, for one. The famed oh-so-rare Report. oo it's the RE Fans bible my friend.

All explained by Wesker and Birkin on the DVD, which also includes ton of neat RE stuff like sketches, first drafts, deleted stuff etc etc.

I've only ever seen it once in electronics boutique. Never got it myself. Although i downloaded Weskers Report from KAZAA.

I cant find it. Oh well. I just got my memory card and it says it has 251 blocks and my metroid game says it uses 2 blocks. Does remake take up alot of blocks?

No, you got a fantastic memory card. The one you have, 251 blocks, is quite expensive, easily double the price of the normal memory card, which is 52 blocks. So is my understanding. I don't think it's an offical GC memory card either, which means it is prone to screwing up and losting all the data, such happened with me and an unoffical PS2 card once.


RE takes up 8 blocks per save, and a system data file of 2 blocks.

In another theme, RE2 opened here. Just watched, I liked it, had tons of action, but not the best movie I've seen (for cool fights, watch Hero)

Of course, it's not gonna win any oscars, but it sure is fun nonetheless.

20 bucks is pretty steep, but it's a genuine if it says nintendo, and you probably wont need another memory card besides that one. So i say awesome, you got a great deal.

I really like the layout of the gamecube and how there are four controll ports compared to 2. I like that.

Which is really... useless.. i haven't seen a decent four-player much less played one that you don't take turns with the same controller.

Oh well. Still good.

Theres mario cart double dash which can be fun. Though I guess its not for your age group or mine for that matter.

theres plenty of good 4-player games for it. get Red Faction 2, Metal Arms, Hunter the Reckoning, and i just got Crash Nitro Cart today. havent played it yet tho. right now, im about to play F Zero GX which looks awsome.

about the memory cards, even the Nintendo ones can corrupt too. my 251 card that came with my GC package was got corrupted when i was over half way through Star Fox Adeventures. i threw it away and bought a Niko 59 block card which ive had for a long time and works perfectly well.

My cousin has NightFire which is fun multiplayer like all the 007 games.

mario party is probably the best 4 player game next to metroid prime 2 but its to repetitive
