remember the stoopid letter grades that briefly appeared in RE2? what the heck was up with them??? i mean, i kinda liked the idea, u know, to see just how well u did, but...the letter grade system seems very irrelavent to evrything else in the game...like, if we were rated like 'zombie food' 'slayer' that kinda thing...
I very much liked the Ranking system. It's actually in all the games. Just not with letters.
Resident Evil 1:
Complete under 5 hours: Costume Key.
Complete under 3 hours: Rocket launcher.
RE2:
S, A, B, C, D. It pretty much only ranked you on how much time you spent and how many ink ribbons you use. Get a good grade, get the Gattling Gun, or Rocket Launcher, or Sub Machine gun. It's a good way of ensuring a re-play.

one time i beat the entire 2nd game in 3 1/2 hours and all i got was the costume key thing and infinite sumbmachine gun ammo. i didnt even get that good of a grade. it was like a C or something.

no i dont think saved that much. only before hard parts and i only used health items when i absolutely needed them. i cant really remember, it was a while ago.

But i did sit down with my girlfriend while she went through it. She got an E rank, heh. 12 saves, 7 hours, and about 2000% health used.
RE3 is easy, i can do that game in an hour and a half with no health used at all and no saves.

RE3 is not easy! that game is pretty damn hard. how could you beat it that fast?

Yeah it is, once you've played it through as much as I have!And that dodge feature means you can go through the whole game without using a single shot once you know how to do it.

hes right you can do it dodge feature .....good ! but have you unlocked all players in the merc. and all 9 epiloge pics?
i had all of the merc. characters but i only beat the game once so i only have one epilogue part.
Of course Sabretooth, that's easy. 
Hunks epilogue was the most interesting. Or should i say 'Dr. Death'.

*sigh* if only my g/f played...or even watched me play...or, something...but alas...she's not big on video games...she'll play duck hunt with me tho...and on her own, the second level of spyro so she can do some sort of sled thing or sumthin...and she played WW once, just to make link roll, and do 'that big spinny move that makes him dizzy'...o well... oops, sorry, got a little off topic there, so ill bring it back with: she would have no interest in RE at all...tho she does sumtimes try to ask questions about the games i play...
i have one question...where is the magnum on RE0? and where are the magnum parts in RE0 (if there are any) and RE2? ok...2.5 questions...
the magnum is RE0 is in the tram car when you are rebecca by herself. i dont think there are parts for it though. the magnum parts in RE2 are in a little square room with lockers in it inside the lab area somewhere. there will be a blue light above the locker and the camera angle of the room will have almost a direct overhead view.

Yeah man, as i've said in the form the dodge feature makes RE3 far to easy, even with the knife. But it ain't the best weapon, it's the MINE LAUNCHER man!!

i know! i know! you get the power cables from the car in the parking garage. the gas from the gas station and little storage room with the bottles and stuff, and the little plug thing found in the power plant place by doing that little puzzle next to the shutter doors.
The fuse, correct mate. I was seeing if i could catch ol Nikelaos off with the two parts for the Mixed Oil.

im gonna go a little off topic here for a moment and talk about another survival horror-ish type game. have u ever played Run Like Hell?

yeah that would be great. just imagine how much cooler it would be. but if they made the graphics like they did on RE1 remake, would it be able to go on the ps2?
No. Sadly, PS2 can't come even close to matching the Gamecube in terms of the graphics engine. I love my PS2, but i really does suck compared to the power that the Gamecube has.
i still think ps2 is better. even tho the graphics arent as good as the GC, it still has better games and the graphics arent that bad. there are a lot of ps2 games with good graphics.
Good, yes. But not even remotely close to the graphics in RE: Remake and RE: Zero.
Put it this way, compare the graphics to RE: Remake, which was released nearly TWO years ago, to RE: Outbreak, which was released two months ago.
Clearly the Remake makes Outbreak look like Super Mario Bros. Outbreak is pushing the limit of what PS2's can handle, and it still looks like crap compared to the Remake.
Of course, PS2 does have better games, just less quality. Don't worry, the PS3 will solve those issues.

o come on. the graphics arent THAT bad. there are ps2 games that have better graphics than some GC games. just not too many. i always thought the silent hills on ps2 had good graphics. so did the Jak games and ratchet and clank games. o yeah. so did the onimusha series. but those are all great games and GC doesnt have that many great games to show off. pretty much all it has going for it is the graphics.
That's what i'm saying. Yes, PS2 does have WAY better games, besides the RE's and Wind Waker and the like. But when it simply comes down to it, the power of GC is far far greater than PS2. The graphics are poor in comparison, even the game engine sucks.
I love my PS2, i don't own a GameCube, i'm just saying the facts. And it's because of this games are being released on GC now. For example, Resident Evil 4 definately will not hit PS2, the PS2 couldn't even come close to handling RE4. But the GC does a good job of it.

they could make RE4 for the ps2, just the graphics would be far worse and the game would run slower. i think the ps2 could handle the gameplay though.
It would run alot slower, and the graphics would be alot crappier, exactly. That's what i meant about bad gameplay.
Therefore, why not release it on a system that can handle it, rather than a system that can't. The Gamecube! Even the Xbox isn't getting it, cause, well, we all can agree on what a piece of sh** the Xbox is.

i kinda like the Xbox. but its soooo f***in big and too heavy. pretty much the only reason i like it is because it gets a lot of good computer games and for Halo. i cant wait to play Halo 2. and doom 3 and half life 2 should both be good also.but i still wont waste my money on one when both of my friends have an xbox.
I don't get the hype with Halo. I played it and thought it sucked ass.

o. yeah the DM i dont like. but the actual game is reeeeally fun. especialy on co-op cuz its great playing as a team.
Well, i'll take your word for it but leave it at that. Got no desire to touch an XBox ever again. Awful thing.
