right now i'm at the beginning of chapter 2-2. i had alot of health and ammo until the huge fight at the end of chapter 2-1. you're stuck in a house with luis and they're coming in through the windows on the first and second floor they're EVERYWHERE and they keep mutating and boy it's hard.

what do you think of the story so far? i think it's pretty damn good, very drawn out but it works that way.

i think this game is awsome. i just saved again at EXACTLY 3 hours and 30 minutes, with 0 seconds. what are the odds of that? so now i have the insignia symbol and im heading back to the church. i bet ive missed a lot of treasures after i woke up in the house cuz i just wanted to get the hell out of there before they killed me. so when does El Gigante come? soon? im dreading that. just like i was dreading El Lago, but that was a piece of cake.

i like the story so far. its good. and i saw one of those things mutate too. sick sh** right there. and it really seems like Leon hit puberty somewhere between this game and RE2. thank god.

so the dog actualy had something to do with that fight? cool. it was hard for me, but easy at the same time. i finished him with almost no health at all and no health items. i only have 4 bullets left for my pistol, but i found 10 more, and thats all i have. i tried to go back to the church, but those dogs attacked me and ate me to death. this game is getting really hard. what should i do when im this low on health and ammo and i have to fight a bunch of evil dogs?

i just got to the castle, i have over 1000000 bucks and all my weapons are tuned up fully, i have tons of ammo and health. rifle, Red9, shotgun. once i get in the castle i'm gonna sell all my weapons and buy new ones. yippie!

there is no way in hell im starting over again. ive already started over once before so my dad could see from the beginning. ive come too far. i need to just find more health and ammo and i should be able to get past those dogs. how come the merchant does sell ammo, yet you can see the piles and piles of ammo boxes he has laying around everywhere? thats gay.

dude you're not really that far . i've restarted 3 times and each time i've had more and more stuff, it's definately a good idea. you'll have more health and ammo because you know what you're doing better.

but i dont wanna do all that again. maybe ill consider it later. but anyways, i just sold all of my rifle equipment so i got a fair amount of money for it. i bought the TMP and the TMP stock upgrade. i already had 200 bullets for that thing before so now i got plenty of ammo for the time being. i was gonna have my friend over latyer to show him the game if he hasnt aslready gotten it. if he does come over, then i probably will start over.

i found the rifle MUCH better than the TMP personally. i took all the dogs out before they even knew i was there. and theres a part in a skii lift later that you pretty much need the rifle for or you'll die.

well the TMP is only temporary. i was gonna buy the rifle again later anyways. but i didnt have enough money for a rifle tune up so it was too slow and the dogs would have gotten to me before they were dead. i found using the TMP on them is easy. so im ok for now. im going into the church right now. can you tell me what i can expect from in there?

Not much really.
A little harder, because you have to constantly watch her, make sure she doesn't get hurt or carried away. If she's hurt, you need to heal her. If she's being carried, you must shoot the guy carrying her but don't shoot her.

The best idea when you enter an area is tell her to stay put in some safe area, like climb to the top of the tower with her, and tell her to stay up there while you kill off any threat in the area.

remember to use things to your advantage, like barrels and the like. you can kill all of them suprisingly easy sometimes.

yeah ive found that protecting her isnt to hard so far. im loving this game so much. it will never get old.

oooooooooo sh** i am so screwed right now. im inside that house with Luis and Ashly and all these villagers are coming for us. this is gonna be intense.

yeah, THAT is hard. you need to be really quick, go from window to window shooting out of them, and killing any that get inside.
when you go upsatirs be sure to knock down all the ladders from the windows. and push the cupboards and stuff infront of the windows barricade yourself in.

you need to have about 20 shotgun shells and 50 pistol bullets minimum. use the pistol shooting out the windows until they start coming in, then switch to your shotgun. be careful throwing grenades around luis, but make sure you do if more than 3 or 4 are in the same spot.
there's ammo upstairs and luis will occasionally give you some. be sure to pick up any they drop too.

i didnt have nearly that much ammo and i just bet it my 2nd try. they dropped so many items so i should be more than ok for the next section of the game. I did have a lot of TMP ammo tho, but i didnt use that gun until the end of the fight. but o man was that awsome.

Burnside, whats the better route to take. the one with the Ganados, or the one with El Gigante?

I prefer to fight the El Gigante, it's easier than fighting tons of Villagers in a maze-like area. Plus, the Gigante drops 15000 and you find some rare treasure there that fits into the headpiece if you still have it. There's also a bunch of huts with ALOT of treasure stored.

So that's the route i take. AND, there's a bolder to drop on the Gigante to cause him some damage.

i took the El Gigante route first. i dropped the boulder too soon so it didnt do anything to him. then i went back to the other route, where i got my head chopped off by a b**** with a chainsaw. that sucked. and what is this headpiece you mention? i dont think ive ever found that. also, what is the green cat's eye for? is it used to combine with other treasure to make it worth more?

Yes.
The Catseyes (there's three) are combined with teh Beermug you find in the village where the barns are. The more you combine, the higher the price.

The headpiece was found in the mine area just before getting to the old house at the end of chapter 1-2. Again, there are three stones to combine with it.
You're not using your treasure map, and you're not looking hard enough.

im talking to one of my friends online right now. she said she got RE4 bootleged a few weeks ago and she beat it in 3 days. she doesnt have a GC. she said she was on a trip with someone else and they took turns playing it. she also said that the game wasnt hard. im testing her to see if shes lying, which i think she is. shes a terrible lier.

yeah, you can't beat this in three days unless you play 10 hours a day.
and since it's only available on GC, how would she play it if she doesn't have one?

The best strategy with Gigante is shooting it with the TMP and running between it's legs.

GRENADES are brilliant against it too.

i ran out of TMP ammo. im using the Red9 now. i have no health items left and this bastard keeps on picking me up. i used an incinedary grenade on him, but i dont think it did anything. this is sooo hard.

yeah only the grenades themselves do anything, the flame ones don't hurt him sadly.

you're screwed man. you should start again, you'll have alot more stuff when you get there again that's for sure.


i just entered the castle on my game, about 45 mins ahead of you. sold my Red9, Shotgun and rifle, and brought a new handgun, automatic rifle and riot shotgun, and tuned them all up mad. whoo! new treasure map and new Attache case too. it's good having tons of money. i found alot of treasures inside the flames and stuff, if you shoot the burning torches they explode and sometimes drop treasure. there's also birdnests that hold treasure, lamps etc etc. so much to find, i doubt i've still found it all.


maybe you should try the other route again?

no. im gonna keep trying this boss. i havent hit it with the giant boulder yet. it keeps missing everytime. damn its hard

there's TMP ammo right outside the house you were just in on a pile of logs, and handgun ammo.

If you're only taking it on with a pistol, you're screwed. He takes a good 10 shotgun shots and a grenade to put him down the first time. You need at least double that.

It's not unreadable, you should skim through it and get all the hints, tips etc because you really do need to get everythign in this game, you can't rush it or you'll get mad suck like HD.

i dunno. i guess they took it from him when he got captured.

yeah 50 shots from the TMP should put him down at least once.

bring that bolder on him, then fire off the TMP, jump on him, get behind him, fire the rest of the TMP, you should put him down.

you should only need to put him down twice to kill him.

YYYYEEESSSSS!!!! I DID IT! i hit him with the boulder, hit him with my one grenade i had, and used all of my TMP. i had to drop him 4 times before he died. man that was awsome. lets continue, shall we?

i checked all the huts. i sold my Punisher. so i had almost 50000 ptas. i got some Red9 tune ups and another TMP tune up and some health, and i still have over 11000 ptas left for later. im doing pretty good right now, dont you think?

BS if i discard the stock for the TMP will it still be on the gun?
