i saved alot, and instead of continuing i just went back to my last save points. i prefer it that way because then i'll know whats coming and be able to grab any last items.

check it out guys i played some more last night. i hate those f***** flyin bugs. couldn't get the treasure in the room with the huge slug thing where ashley was carried away. took me alot of tries to beat the room with the TWO clawed guys, ugh. and then i fought that boss in the sewer area with the liquid nitrogen. man that was intense! i was worried too because i brought the new shotgun (my last one sold for something like 111000 bucks) and used all the nitrogen and he still didn't die. used a grenade, boom!
saved after that.

you keep everything you finished the game with if you start a round 2 game. money, weapons, upgrades, items, etc.

i hate the bugs too. thjey suck and theyre so annoying and hard to kill sometimes. i couldnt even find the treasure in that room. i looked around for it for a few minutes, but never came across it.


yeah the sewer boss was intense and really hard. i never killed him, i just ran away on the elevator.

ahh, well i did kill him, which is cool because he dropped ALOT of money.
killed both of those bloody Le Gigantes too. Man! It's boss after smeggin boss! Just finished the mine cart ride. Whoa!! Intense stuff. Played for an hour. Put the sacrifice in the door, saved there, end of chapter 4-3. i don't have any money left, i spent it all leveling up my blacktail to perfect, my auto rifle, broken butterfly which is SO POWERFUL, and my awesome shotgun! yeehaw!
i love this game. but it sure is getting hard.

yeah i bought the Killer7 right before the end of the game. it rocks.

my friend recently got the game. hes only been playing for about 5 hours and hes already at the castle. he says he explores everywhere, but he doesnt buy the treasure maps. he also says the game is a little easy, but harder where he is now. hes only died about 7 times too. i would just like to know how he got that far in such little time, even without getting all the treasure, thats pretty short.

yeah i noticed that, what with ada just popping up and working with wesker apparently etc. i get the feeling this isn't the first time they've seen each other since RE2.




anyway, so i just finished 5-1, having saved ashley from the prison. man this game is good. i hate those regenerator things, well i did until getting the scope, then they were just a joke. my blacktail is so powerful i love it! all my weapons except the killer 7 are on max and that 'exclusive' thing is neat too. got the body armour, yeehaw! should be finished later. not playing for a few hours tho.


slazar was very easy suprisingly. just dodge and watch out for that mouth attack and shoot the eye and him, done. very easy.

salazar, i found, was very hard. i died quite a few time times on him. but once i did gt the pattern to kill him, it was kinda easy. i still think its the hardest boss in the game tho.

i thought the hardest was that one in the sewer, but you guys didn't fight it.

salazar took me 2 tries. the first i got eaten, the second i just pulled out the sniper on the eye and the magnum on him. dead in two rounds.

In assignment Ada you have to go to the island and got 5 things. It get alot easier once you get past the first part because if you die in the first part you go back to the beginning!

In merc you have a set amount of time to kill as many people as possible. You start with leon and unlock new people by getting 4 star porformence which is hard. I unlocked ada though which is totally different than playing with leon.

Neat! Do you get extra time like in the RE3 mercs game?

Assignment Ada is like a new extra chapter or something? Does it actually take place when she leaves you on the island during the storyline?

Yes in mercs there are big shiny pick ups.


Im not sure. She just arrived on the island and then she leaves so i doubt it.

well the last chaper isnt really a chapter. all yopu have to do is wander around and then fight the boss. but yes, youre doing extremely well BS

Faaaack, last night i got all the way to the end of chapter 5-3 having gotten the bugs out of us, but accidentally didn't save it. So i have to start again from the battle ground area.

That fight with the merc guy was awesome but intense. f*** i died like 3 times in the knife fight, then about 5 times with those bloody lasers. Resident Evil movie anyone!? hahah.

Would have completed it but we watched Shaun of the Dead instead. Gonna see if i can do it now before work.

HELL SMEGGIN YEAH BIATCHES.

Assignment Ada complete. Pretty easy, died a few times getting past those Chaingunners and the boss fight was tough. Good to see Wesker in it!

Unlocked the dude, Hunk and Ada in mercenaries. Again it's pretty easy once you get the hang of getting the extra time bonuses and stuff. Hunk is tough to play with, but i still got 4 starts with him, dude, Leon etc.

Do you unlock anything for the actual game in mercenaries? I know i unlocked an AK in assignment Ada, but what about the extra costumes where do they get unlocked? etc.

i'm on 3-1. enemies get really annoying.

Alrighty so apparently i've unlocked everything except the handcannon, which is unlucked by getting 5 stars on all the mercenary levels.
I think the mercs is pretty dumb really, i mean, whats the point in unlocking all the extra characters and stuff? You don't really get anything for it.

Hrmmm. I wish we could choose what costumes we want Ashley, Leon and Ada to have instead of just choosing special or normal.

yeah i wish they had a wide selection of costumes like in all of the other games. i mean, Leon in is RPD uniform...its not like we havent seen that before!

Although Ada looks quite stunning in her RE2 costume, but i wish we could use it or her actual in game costume for the Assignment Ada game rather than the black sneak gear.

im not playing them. i thought they were kinda hard. i dont really like them that much anyways. its just like playing the regular game.

Ever play Code: Veronica X as Wesker and say 'i wish i could use Weskers super powers'.

In the mercs game, you can! Super strength BOWLS over the enemies.

If you use Krauser, you use a BOW AND ARROWS, which is really powerful and super cool. Also, when he charges up, his arm glows and then by pressing X you can unleash with it a SUPER attack that destroys anything infront of him!

The new weapons and character abilities in the mercs game make it really fun!



AND, Assignment Ada is actually part of the main story. It happens before Krauser is killed by Leon. A chopper picks Ada up and Wesker speaks to her in the chopper. He says that he's almost compleyed the re-creation of the Umbrella Corporation and with these samples Ada collected he's even closer than before. It's actually pretty cool.

well i cant do anything in the mercs game cuz i always die and i cant go fast enough so i guess ill never know what its like. and in assignment ada, you have to play through my least favorite section of the game so i really have no interest in it.

Then you'll never unlock any special stuff dude.

The mercs is easy man. Just run around, shoot a bunch of them, run around, collect timers, etc.

And Assignment Ada is also easy, it's just shooting dudes, nothing special, and you get to unlock an awesome infinite ammo AK47 for doing it.

Just ignoring them completely is pretty dumb. It's a part of the game.

I think the mercs is awesome. Haven't gotten any 5 star ranking yet, but i wanna get that handcannon so i will.

It's max damage is higher than the rocket launcher by far, 99.9, with infinite ammo, no recoil and no explosion damage if you hit something too close .

i kept dying in the mercs when i played it. those f***ing chainsaw people and the chaingun guys keep killing me. ill play them eventually, its just that now that i beat the game, im kinda over it right now.

yeah in each level theres normal guys and the tougher guys.

tell ya what, play the CASTLE level, it's by FAR the easiest. but guys, no super guys. the villager has chainsaws, the military complex has chaingunners and the waterworld level has REALLY BIG chainsaw guys!

playing the castle level is well worth it. you can find a safe spot, pick off about 30 people coming at you and pick up their ammo, and you'll unlock KRAUSER, which is SUCH A COOL character to play as. i really wish we could use that awesome bow and arrow in the actual game.

and you haven't really completed the main story until you do it with Ada, since she has an ending and credits and story and such all of her own, and you get to see Wesker in it talk about the revival of Umbrella! Setup for a new game? I think so!

i knew RE4 wouldnt be the last. i also knew that Capcom would figure out some way to bring Umbrella back. if they do make a RE5, then i hope they stick to this style of gameplay with over the shoulder aiming and stuff and now go back to the old style. although, even if they did, i would still buy it

i also hope they bring some zombie dudes back. i miss em. it would have been alot of fun picking off zombies left and right in this game. hey maybe the fast zombies from movies like Dawn of the Dead remake! Since slow zombies would obviously be a little TOO easy for RE4, probably why they were replaced with the cattle.

fast zombies would be too hard to fight with that style of gamesplay. in order for that to work, then they would have to add the abilty to run and shoot at the same time. just imagine how hard it would be to stop and shoot while a giant hord of fast zombies were running at you. slow zombies could still work, they would just have to have more in one area at a time so its like theyre surrounding you and you have a lot of pressure on you to kill them all, or else youre slowly waiting for your death. OR they could have slow AND fast zombies, like the crimson heads, except with more normal zombie features. theres a ton of things to think of right now.
