Not bad!
I just finished my second time through, 9 hours 10 mins.
It's a joke with the rocket launcher and Typewriter. Makes the game almost boring.

I know this thread must have been based on the game, but did anyone check out the 2nd movie? I just saw it the other day...it wasn't really what I expected but thought it was ok...
BurnSide
Jan 20 2005, 08:18 PM
Saw it the day it came out.
It was a fun movie, no more than that. Short skirts, monsters, big guns, explosions. Wont win any awards, but it's entertaining.

so you RE bunch....
is resident evil 4 any good?
its not out in the uk yet, so i'm curious...

Best game ever made. Graphics that aren't even remotely comparable to any other game. A combat system with no rivals. Fantastic controls, story, environments, replay factor, enemies, gore, etc etc etc. Incomparable.
Just check any mag. Most have given it the top score possible.

If you are, you might as well just toss your gaming systems out the window, cause no games will be made anytime soon that can top it.
Shakezulah
Jan 20 2005, 10:49 PM
i know. if you are dissapointed with the game, then you should never bother playing videogames again. there would seriously be something wrong with you.

Jan 21 2005, 12:28 AM
So i'm gonna start Professional mode tomorrow.
Apparently it's the same but just much harder enemies, IE they take more damage and dish out more damage.
Have you tried it yet HD?
Shakezulah
Jan 21 2005, 12:30 AM
nope. plan on it tomorrow or any other time this weekend after i beat my round 2 game.
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 12:31 AM
Sweet. You should really try to beat Assignment Ada, the Chicago Typewriter is REALLy worth it. Much better than the rocket launcher. Kills anything, bosses, enemies etc, in seconds.
Shakezulah
Jan 21 2005, 01:02 AM
cool. ill definately try. it will probably take me several tries tho. im really looking forward to professional mode. its gonna make the game so much more fun now that its gonna be hard as hell. ill most likely get more than 64 deaths this time...well maybe not cuz i will be more prepared.
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 01:16 AM
My second playthrough - 3 deaths. Quicktime deaths all. Bloody knife fight.
Ass. Ada is really easy. It's just shooting enemies, the big ones are the only ones you need to worry about and they can be dispatched with 2 or 3 sniper shots to the head. Have fun!

Isn't there supposed to be another RE coming out where the zombies talk? or am I getting that confused with a different zombie game...
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 01:45 AM
We've been talking about it for the last 50 pages.
That would be Resident Evil 4, which has been out for a couple weeks.
There are no zombies in it at all, instead you're faced off against hoardes of villagers and cult members who are intelligent, talk to each other, use weapons and are generally badass, and they're infected with a disease that makes them kill and ask questions later.
Sort of like '28 Days Later'.

I'll just go and crawl into my cave for a minute...lol

Jan 21 2005, 02:03 AM
lol dont feel bad. there have been dumber questions asked on here.
BS, do you plan on buying Outbreak File #2 when it comes out? i definately do mostly because of the DMC3 demo that comes with it.
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 02:04 AM
Probably not.
I didn't buy the last one. Maybe i'll get it one day.
Come to think of it, you didn't buy the last one either.
Shakezulah
Jan 21 2005, 02:07 AM
o yeah

i didnt even think you would remember that.
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 02:15 AM
hahah not to worry.
When is outbreak 2 due anyway? I have to admit, while i wasn't that impressed with the last one and probably wont be with this one either, after RE4 i'm kinda in the mood to go back to blastin some zombie dudes again in Raccoon city with new locations and such.
Shakezulah
Jan 21 2005, 02:16 AM
yeah so am i. i think the release date is Feb. 22. the same day as the new (hed) pe album so isnt that just fantastic
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 02:18 AM
Nice, i had no idea the release date was so soon, i thought it was much later in the year.
Shakezulah
Jan 21 2005, 02:20 AM
nope. pretty early. and DMC3 is coming out sometimes in march so that will be a good birthday present to get. i mostly wanna play File 2 because of that giant zombie elephant and the zombie monkeys and stuff at the zoo.
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 02:21 AM
Yeah to zoo level looks good, but i'm mostly looking forward to the re-revist to the RCPD. The third time a RE game has had the RCPD in it.
Shakezulah
Jan 21 2005, 02:25 AM
o you get to go back....again? cool. is it gonna be even more boarded up with nowhere to go than in RE3? i hope not. do you know what other levels there will be in the game?
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 02:27 AM
Apparently it's fully open, taking place after the events of RE2.
Other than that and the Zoo, i don't know off the top of my head. I can check when i get home.
Shakezulah
Jan 21 2005, 02:28 AM
im interested in seeing how the Outbreak people get out of the city before it blows up....OR DO THEY AT ALL?!?!?!
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 02:29 AM
You've completed Outbreak 1 haven't you? They all get out in that.
That's the weird thing, it's all the same characters.
Shakezulah
Jan 21 2005, 02:31 AM
no i never beat Outbreak 1. infact, i havent played it since i got it. i never got past the Hospital. so if they got out of the city and it blew up...then how are they still in the city....it makes no sense.
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 02:33 AM
Yup. Basically, the ending of outbreak depends on 2 things: Who you played with, and if they got the anti-virus.
If you get the anti-virus, the one person you play as gets airlifted out of the city by a random chopper, how lucky. The rest stay behind, infected, and die as the nuke blows up.
So, i'm guessing File 2 is ment to breach the gaps in File 1, like how the got from the down to the labs, and from the labs to the hospital etc. But still, they could have just used new characters. Seems silly really.
Shakezulah
Jan 21 2005, 02:36 AM
i know. i didnt know that only 1 character was saved in the game. that sucks. i feel bad for them

they should have either had new characters, or had all of them saved and continued from where they were dropped off.
BurnSide
Jan 21 2005, 02:42 AM
What do you mean continued where they were dropped off? The city gets nuked! They're out, that's it.
Shakezulah
Jan 21 2005, 02:43 AM
i mean if all of the characters were svaed, and then they were dropped off when they escaped, and then later something happens at where they are now.

Huh? Sorry Chris, that didn't make sense.
