Anyway i have some news:

Edge magazine had a new interview with Kobayashi. The most important piece of information revealed was that there will almost certainly be no more RE games released on the Gamecube due to the fact that it's nearing the end of its product life cycle.




Also, and this is VERY cool:

With an Action Replay, new codes have been unlocked for RE4.
These include:

Allowing Leon to keep his jacket for the whole game.
Playing as Ada in the dress.
Playing as Ada in the RE2 costume.
Playing as Ada RE2 costume in the MAIN GAME!!
Playing as Krauser, complete with Bow and special move, in the MAIN GAME!!
Playing as Hunk in the main game!
Playing as Wesker in the main game!
Unlocking Krausers Bow in the main game!



WOW!!!!!!!!

Also rumoured:
Playing as ANY character model!
Ada, Ashley, Saddler, El Gigante even, in the main game. HOLY HELL!
If these are completely real, i will go out tomorrow and buy an Action Replay.

o man i wish i had some money for an AR! that sounds awsome! just imagine playing as an El Gigante! how in the hell would you go through doors? that would be hilarious.

Exactly. The Gamecube has nearly run it's line. Although i have no idea what's coming next from Nintendo.

All i could find. I've also seen pictures of unlocking the harpoon to use throughout the game, Hunk spriniting from the boulder, and Gigante spirinting from the boulder (although he's the size of a normal character).

I've just checked out some of the offical codes posted on GAMEFAQS.

These include:
All cow models turn into Saddler.
Leon keeps Jacket for first disk.
Pistol fires rockets.
etc etc

they all seem pretty useless, but funny so far. are there any codes like all weapons for free or inf. health?

Of course. But i don't see the point. Well i guess it would be kinda fun.

Wow, you know, i've just tuned up the minethrower fully, and it has to be the coolest most fun weapon in the game. They home-in on enemies, and will chase the enemy if it runs away, haha. And the exposion is huge, which is cool.

So the final count on all weapons, not a bad list:

5 Handguns
3 Shotguns
2 Rifles
3 Magnums
2 Machine Guns
3 Grenades
2 Explosive Launchers
and a partridge in a pear tree.
Plus the tune ups and add-ons. I'd say that's a pretty damn good list!

yeah thats definatley the biggest weapons list yet in an RE game. im glad they have so many in 4.

Me too, it was alot of fun discovering new weapons, tuning them up etc.
I think i'll start a new game! After i complete my pro mode second time through.
Man i love this game.

I lent RE4 out for Half Life 2. Its a cool game but i lack the technology to not have 2 minute long loading screens every five minutes.

Of course. Although Sienna Gulleroy didn't really look the part, and she acted it about as opposite as she could possibly get from the actual Jill Valentine.

Jill is a woman who is polite, yet doesn't take crap. She's tough, but delicate. She will do anything to help out a fellow human in need, and to punish those who deserve it.

She doesn't swear, she doesn't smoke, she doesn't wear makeup, she doesn't abandon people to painful death, etc etc etc. So Sienna is pretty stupid if she thinks her portrayal of Jill was acurate.

Even worse is that in the commentary she explains that she liked the script of Jill because it showed Jill as this caring sensitive woman. Hey Sienna, WHAT THE HELL SCRIPT WERE YOU READING!? haha.

Still, she was hot.

why can't we have a hot actress with a "hot" brain???? IMO Sienna Gulleroy should have teased us instead of Milla Jovovich. by the way burnside, are you wathcing it now???

i didnt really like the special features on the DVD. i liked the making of thing, but everything else pretty much sucked, besides the commentaries, i havent gotten to all of those yet. the deleted scenes were just gay. really pointless. the featurettes were ok tho, not the greatest.

I thought that the deleted scenes really improved the main story of the movie alot, and the movie would have been alot better with several of them still in the movie.
Like, for example, the fact that the guy they encounter hiding in the church is the guy who slammed the door on the chick running up the stairs and the reason for her death, which makes it awesome that he gets mutilated.
Etc.

I played a little this morning. I'm still trying to fully tune up by hand Cannon. So far, it's got 45 power, holds 8, but it can hold more, have alot more power, and i can attach a speed loader to it. but it costs more to tune up fully than the inf. rocket launcher and type writer combined!

Wow how stupid. Since I dont have RE4 for a while I started a new game of San Andreas. I forgot how good the story is.

It's pretty awesome, except there could have been alot more. I found there were alot of holes. Like, CJ just decides to leave the garage one day, what happens to everyone there? They just pop up again later on, etc.

Hey burnside i've heard alot about this AR thing what is it how do you get it how much is it and where do you get it?

It's Action Replay. Exactly like a Gameshark for the PlayStation. Basically, a memory card you can insert into the console, and it has a bunch of codes on it and stuff that you can use to hack into the game and unlock things/change things around. They come with codes, and codes are also printed by mags and stuff, but you can also find your own.

Here in canada it's generally 30 bucks canadian, and you can get them in any place where videogames and videogame extras are sold.

Yup. The codes are simple, they're like this:

Infinite Health.

Simply, you put the code on the Action Replay in it's menu screen, then start the gam as normal with the AR inserted into a memory card slot, and the code will be activated on the game.

That's pretty cool.

No.
It's actually not possible to unlock Krauser as a character to play through in the main game. The other characters are rumoured to be unlocked, indeed the offical codes include playing as Ada in her Red RE2 Dress, but as of yet playing as Krauser is absolutely impossible.
