Yes, there is.
It's Resident Evil Outbreak, for the PS2. It has online and offline modes.

Basically, you assume the role of one of several civilians trying to escape Raccoon City in the midst of the T-viral outbreak, surviving in co-operating teams of up to 4 people online, helping each other through various areas of the city fighting and solving puzzles together.

resident evil outbreak is the only online one I know of don't play anymore but you and other players are fighting for survival together you must make it to the end alive their is no rules only that you can't talk to each other, so you can play as a team and help each other or you can screw everybody else over and be on your own. Whats really cool is that your already infected so if you don't make it to the end or you get killed you become a zombie and you can attack the remaining players.

Outbreak File 2 will be released soon too. It's just more of the same, in retrospect.

i hope Outbreak File #2 brings something new into it. im sure it will still be fun. the environments look awsome, especially the zoo. and they better bring some new weapons into it too. im not gonna be stealing that game just to play the same thing again

I'm quite anxious to return to the RPD, and the Zoo does look pretty awesome with a whole new range of infected creatures to contend with.

It just got released, so it doesn't have the features and stuff on it yet, but it has characters and screenshots, and that's what i wanted to show ya. I'm sure it'll have a few more features soon.

quick question. do both the Outbreak games take place in one day?

I have NO idea how the second Outbreak game will co-inside with the first one, since in the first one they choppered out and the city was nuked.
SO i'm guessing that file 2 is basically more senarios that happened during the outbreak, more like an expansion pack than a sequel to the first game.


And overall the outbreak in Raccoon City lasted for 2-3 days, so the games could take place anytime in those 2-3 days, except the first senario of the first game takes place at the beginning of the outbreak, and the last senario of the first game takes place at the end.

o. thats pretty gay. they could have at least chosen some new characters instead of the same ones. and they BETTER have some new things that the AI says when playing off-line because they got unbelivably annoying. so much that i wanna stop playing the game so i can get their retarted voices outta my head.

In the first game, if i'm not mistaken, you couldn't even type-talk to people online, it was entirely 'Go There' or 'Come Here'.

The ability to actually talk would be awesome. But, does the PS2 even have headsets?

Yes the PS2 has headsets slot of people use them for SOCOM navy seals.
But yeah it would be awesome to talk to others online in RE outbreak 2

For more outbreak levels. It's still a fun game, and naturally the second would be much updated.

I would assume so.
But i really like the feature in outbreak 1 where you run into a house and you can use hammer and nails to board up windows and doors.

Yeah that was sweet.

I loved the fact that the Zombies kept coming, and they could go through doors and stuff.
You also could push or kick them away, as well as beat down doors instead of finding keys. And almost anything could be used as a weapon, sticks, poles, pesticide and lighters, etc etc.

Sweet i was actually thinking of buying a used PS2 and getting outbreak.
Also PS2 has alot of game selection to choose from.

PS2's are getting cheaper though. I traded my old one in, along with my old copy of Silent Hill 2 and MGS2, for a new slim one.

PS2's are getting cheaper because currently they're the oldest things on the market. The new one will be out soon, it's probably in the best interests to wait for it.

Xbox's are great! I got one for christmas.

Not as many games as the PS2 for it though.

I'm not a fan. Although they probably are the better consoles on the market, i dislike the game selection and therefore own a GC and PS2.

I own a PS2 and (obviously, lol) a PC too. Although I don't really play games on that...besides casino tycoon that is!

I just have thousands of emulated NES, SNES, Mastersystem and Genesis games on my PC.
