Sorry neo, but if you can't see how far superior the PSP is to the DS, there's no hope i'm afraid.

Let's get back on topic. We have other threads devoted to the DS/PSP war.

But we are on topic.
We are talking about RE on the DS or PSP
BurnSide

We were talking about the specs of DS vs PSP. That's off topic.
Neo2005
Mar 28 2005, 10:34 PM
Fine whatever.
But seriously though why can;t you see RE on a DS?
BurnSide
Mar 28 2005, 10:37 PM
I can't see RE on a PSP either. I can't see it on any handheld being good.
Just look at Resident Evil: Gaiden. Gameboy Advance game, and possibly worst game ever created.
Neo2005
Mar 28 2005, 10:41 PM
Well
1.It was on GBA the tchnology now is much more advanced.
2. The change from 3rd to 1st person did kinda suck.
3.the storyline (because made by a different company not capcom)didn't coincide with other RE's
Although in it;s defence i bought the game and was acually quite pleased with it.
You need alot of light to play it though (GBA-SP would be best)
But with the advances in technology and amazing graphics by both systems new storyling developed by capcom.
The game has great potential.
BurnSide
Mar 28 2005, 10:44 PM
But DS doesn't have great graphics.

So if anything RE would only be put on the PSP. No one would be a RE game now with graphics of anything less than those in Code Veronica, and while the PSP could easily handle the port, the DS could not. The only way to put a RE game on the DS, would be to take a step backwards and port one of the PS RE games to the DS, either RE1, 2 or 3. Even 3 would be pushing the limits.
Neo2005
Mar 28 2005, 10:48 PM
I don;t think so.
I mean the PSP graphics are obviously better i'm not disputing that.
But given the fact the RE can work well with almost any consol given the time and effort i think they can make a great RE with the DS
BurnSide
Mar 28 2005, 10:49 PM
Difference of opinion then.
Doesn't matter. I'm faily confident that no RE game after Outbreak will hit any of our current consoles. We'll be seeing them all on the next gen systems, PS3 and and the like.
Neo2005
Mar 28 2005, 10:51 PM
Unfortuantly i think your right.
We will have to wait another loooooonnnggg time to get another quality RE game to a console.
Hopefully they'll make it longer and harder than RE4
BurnSide
Mar 28 2005, 10:54 PM
I'm looking forward to Outbreak 2 so at least i'll have some good old zombie blastin action to tide me over.
Neo2005
Mar 28 2005, 10:57 PM
I'm still looking forward to Outbreak 1 i'm gunna buy them both to get the rebate.
Man big moeny spendin day that'll be.

Nothing. Oh and Please no one word posts.
Now back on topic. My favorite boss fight is Nemesis probably.
Neo2005
Mar 28 2005, 11:13 PM
yeah i love it when Nemesis is chasing you around the city and you hear that music and you know he;s coming.
But the final Nemesis boss fight sucks.
my fave boss is Krauser.
The knife fight even though you don;t kill him the story and great feel to the atmosphere around the fight is great

Big huge laser and he's dead

Neo2005

I prefered fighting Nemesis in the courtyard personally. I found him too easy in the disposal room.
Shakezulah
Mar 28 2005, 11:24 PM
yeah that fight was good, but it was kinda boring and less intense since you werent timed. although it was much harder....
Neo2005
Mar 28 2005, 11:25 PM
I thought both of those fights were hard.
Especially cause i could never find the mine layer for the courtyard fight.
Very intense fights both of them

RE for PS3 or Revoluton should be amazing
Walken
Mar 29 2005, 02:41 PM
Uh-huh. I mean, look at the origonal PS2 graphics for RE, then compare it to the PS's equv-i-lant.
Lets hope we have a similar change here.
BurnSide
Mar 29 2005, 08:20 PM

Look at the PS2 quality graphics of RE compared to the GC graphics. Now THAT is a huge change, i don't know how the graphics would realistically get much better than RE4 and the REmake.
Walken
Mar 29 2005, 08:26 PM
Haveing not played 4, I can't really judge, but the graphics on Code Verronica (the bits which I've seen anyway) were prettey super-great. And I imagine they've come a long way since then.
I just wouldn't like to play a hand held RE.
On top of that, theres the atmosphere to considor. You're not really going to want to play RE on a packed noisey train. You wanna play it at home, in the dark, in silence....
BurnSide
Mar 29 2005, 08:27 PM
It's true. It's how i will be playing Outbreak 2 in a months time. Possibly with a friend, or girlfriend.
Walken
Mar 29 2005, 08:30 PM
lol
It'd be like playing Silent Hill in a moveing car in broard daylight with people talking all around you.
It just wouldn't work.
Neo2005
Mar 29 2005, 09:41 PM
Yeah but with a handheld you can take it anywhere you want.
But your right the atmosphere needed to make a good RE game work ust wouldn;t be there handheld wise.
I still hope they make one though
Walken
Mar 30 2005, 06:25 PM
Do you own any of the hand helds???
Walken
Mar 30 2005, 06:26 PM
They'd have to compromise on the detail too. No longer could you twitter and giggle as your characters foot smashes through your enemeys skull, spreading their brains across the floor. Now you'll just get an icky sound effect and a couple of pixels of movement.

Hey BS RE4 stats best stuff here
Time:2:35 min
Accuaracy%:100%
Kills:1124
Beat that
BurnSide
Mar 31 2005, 04:38 PM
Hrmm. How are you getting 100% accuracy with that many kills? Especially that fast. If you really did do that you're probably the best Resident Evil player in the entire world, by a landslide. I think during my speed runthrough the most kills i got was about 100, and that was just enemies i had to kill. And i'm not an amateur player.
Anyway, today Resident Evil celebrates it's 9th birthday. This day in 1996 Biohazard hit the shelves for the first time.

Hey Burnside, I was wondering if the game re:survivor is a good game. It is being sold for five bucks in the bargian bin. good deal?
BurnSide
Mar 31 2005, 05:49 PM
Not really no. A good deal on Survivor would be getting 15 bucks to buy the game.
It's awful.

BS the way i got those kills so fast is with the Chicago Typewriter you run have your finger on the trigger and as soon as an enemy comes you pop him in the head it's much easier than it looks.
Also when i got the chance i used a rocket launcher to kill tons in 1 hit.
The hardest was killing Krauser I used a fully upgraded Broken Butterfly and hit him where it hurts!
BurnSide
Mar 31 2005, 07:03 PM
So you killed over 1100 enemies with a fast-shooting fully automatic machine gun, not missing a single shot once even though it shoots 3-4 rounds a second.
MonkeyMan
Mar 31 2005, 07:40 PM
That seams a little fishy if you ask me, i can only get around 36%(but i don't play much)

Much better choice.

Think, RE2, thern half the quality of gameplay and graphics, throw an extra 5 enemies in each room, make them dumber, and then get some crappy weapons to aim and shoot at them with.
Damn, i actually made it sound much MUCH better than it is.
Walken
Mar 31 2005, 08:39 PM
Ah, Burnside denbunks the un and explained

Happy birthday RE.
Time Crisis was a blast (excuse the pun) for me. I could play in an arcade by myself and beat the entire thing with 1/2 credits and above 80% accuracy. (Usually around 80/81 but at times I could get as high as 90!)
