It was that bad? how could the great re company make a game that bad???
BurnSide
Mar 31 2005, 08:53 PM
Yona, there are a few different departments in Capcom. Different departments work on different projects.
There is one main RE department, that made RE1, 2, 3, 4 etc, and then the sub-departments occasionally make the extra ones, like Dead Aim, Survivor, etc.

Iv'e always wondered who made Zero.
BurnSide
Mar 31 2005, 09:03 PM
I don't think it was the main guys. They would have done a better job of NOT screwing up the entire plot and storyline.
ChrisC098
Mar 31 2005, 09:05 PM
What plot holes are there. I didnt see any.
Yona
Mar 31 2005, 09:09 PM
Oh so, the main department will make re:5 attack of the clones and the sub will make re:survivor 6? Got it!

What about, how in Resident Evil, the Bravo team went down and within minutes the Alpha team were out looking for the Bravos and had found their downed chopper, meaning that Chris finds Rebecca within an hour of her going down in the chopper.
While in Zero it takes Rebecca 24 hours from landing to arrive at the mansion and meet Chris.

Caamaaan.

WHy is Leon 25 in 98 but in 2005 hes 27?
BurnSide
Mar 31 2005, 10:29 PM
Where did you get that he was 25 in '98? He was 22, a rookie cop just a few years older than Claire.
ChrisC098
Mar 31 2005, 10:32 PM
From rehorror. It says he was 25.
BurnSide
Mar 31 2005, 10:41 PM
Weird. *shrugs* Obviously they have it wrong.
I think his age is displayed in my RE2 manual. I'll check when i get home.
ChrisC098
Mar 31 2005, 11:00 PM
22 makes alot more sence than 25 thats for sure.
BurnSide
Mar 31 2005, 11:26 PM
Obviously. I'm pretty sure the boys at capcom can do simple math, if leon was 25 in RE2, they wouldn't have made him 27 in RE4, 6 years later.
ChrisC098
Mar 31 2005, 11:38 PM
but if hes 22 that would make him 29.
Neo2005
Mar 31 2005, 11:45 PM
Leon i think in RE4 was to good.
Way to many skills.
Although it was cool i think it was a bit out of character
BurnSide
Mar 31 2005, 11:46 PM
What is 22 + 6 Chris?
Definately not 29.

STAY IN SCHOOL.
Now, if it was 6 full years, then he would be 28. Leons birthday is sometime later in the year, so as such, he's only 27, shortly to be turning 28, in RE4.
ChrisC098
Mar 31 2005, 11:47 PM
SOrry i go to public school.
BurnSide
Mar 31 2005, 11:48 PM
I did too. Several public schools, spanning across half the world, i still managed to figure out oh so difficult 2nd grade maths.

What was the most acrobatci move Leon didi in RE4
It think it was the lasers that was awesome
BurnSide
Apr 1 2005, 12:03 AM
The lasers were definately an awesome scene, and a great tribute to the movie as well.

Shame Leon didn't get sliced to bits when he got hit by them though.
ChrisC098
Apr 1 2005, 12:04 AM
THat would have been cool.
Neo2005
Apr 1 2005, 12:07 AM
Yeah that was odd.
I mean a bag headed chainsaw weilding crazy guy sliced you head off and it was really gory.
But when lasers hit you you just fly back.
I would have liked to see him get sliced up like in the first RE movie.
Hey do you think that might be where they got it from?It did seem outa place
ChrisC098
Apr 1 2005, 12:34 AM
Yeah im pretty sure thats where it came from neo.
BurnSide
Apr 1 2005, 01:49 AM
Of course, it couldn't be more out of the movie.
ChrisC098
Apr 1 2005, 01:49 AM
Well only if he fell to pieces when hit.
Shakezulah
Apr 1 2005, 02:06 AM
yes its a shame they didnt have him do that. that would have been awsome to see.
Neo2005
Apr 1 2005, 07:32 AM
Maybe it was to difficult to portray with the changing directions of the lasers you know.
Done correctly it would be amazing.
Speaking of amazing did notice how that no matter what hight Leon jumped from he didn;t take any damage.
Crazy
He was way to strong and skilled in this game
Shakezulah
Apr 1 2005, 07:46 AM
well, yeah! cuz he was trained by the governemnt! you cant expect him to be some weak little pussy in this game.
and a lot of games dont count falling damage. besides, jumping and falling are things you have to do in RE4 and it wouldnt be fair to give damage for something that is required to do.
Walken
Apr 1 2005, 08:45 AM
I always thought you could tell whether the game was made by the mainstream department or the seperate ones. Just the plot gave it away. Must say though, I didn't think RE4 was made by the same dep as 1 2 and 3....
Shakezulah
Apr 1 2005, 09:05 AM
o yeah of course it was the main RE team. they make all the games that actually have numbers in them, except Zero. there werent really any plot holes in 4 except for the most likely purposful ones. its not like they really messed the story up or anything. do u honestly think that the Sub department could make a game as good as RE4? i dont think so!
Walken
Apr 1 2005, 09:43 AM
Yeah, but it was so out of character
BurnSide
Apr 1 2005, 02:32 PM
That was the whole point of the game.
Walken
Apr 1 2005, 04:03 PM
I didn't like the point. It's much more fun killing zombies than people, especially since they just keep comeing. Thats why a GTA RE mod would rule.
Why don't they make one where the zombies are evolveing? And now they're intelligent. That would be sweet.
BurnSide
Apr 1 2005, 04:08 PM
The zombies did evolve in the RE Remake. You could only kill them by either blowing off the head, or burning the bodies. If you did neither, the zombie would stay down in a sort of comatic state for between 5 to 20 mins, and then when you're going by, get up as a Crimson Head, a super fast tough zombie mutation that could be called a first-step licker.
Walken
Apr 1 2005, 04:15 PM
Yeah, that'd be cool.
What were the lickers? What did they mutate from?
BurnSide
Apr 1 2005, 04:29 PM
Humans.
In RE Remake, and in RE Outbreak, we see zombies mutating into Lickers.
It takes more of a dose of the T or G virus to create a licker rather than just a zombie, but given enough time and exposure thats what happens to the zombies.
In level 4 of Outbreak, a burning hotel you're trapped in, there is a boss which is a woman hanging upsidedown infront of the exit, half mutated into a licker. She still resembles a human, hair, skin etc, but her hands have mutated into claws, her brain is exposed, she has no eyes, and her tongue is several feet long.
Pretty cool.
Walken

I prefered Hunters.
Walken
Apr 1 2005, 09:52 PM
No, the lichers had an edge the hunters did not. And their introduction in RE2 ruled.
BurnSide
Apr 1 2005, 10:03 PM
So? I still prefered the Hunters.
Walken
Apr 1 2005, 10:04 PM

Lichers? Whjat the hell is a licher? And a whjat for that matter?
Oh, I'm going to bed.
Shakezulah
