Yeah. You have to become a good knifer. Two knifes at the zombies legs usually puts them down. It is tough though, especially for the start of the game with no gun.

I'm not a game player, but I just had to say that I love watching my husband and son play Resident Evil! Any game that can keep me sitting there and watching has to be a good one.

haha touche! Glad to hear it. You should try playing it sometime. My girlfriend isn't a gamer either, but it really has a whole different effect when you're playing it. You're immersed, it's YOU instead of just watching a movie.

There is something in one of the trailers not sure if it's that one, but there is one thing that looks like a zombie.

So far i've seen the townsfolk, the giant troll thingie, the swamp monster, the druid people and one creature that looks alot like a zombie.

I wish i knew the story on this. Why are these people like this!? No Umbrella, so something must be up..

i got an old IGN email about the story. there is a compleyly different kind of virus type thing that is making the townsfolk go crazy and they let out all of the actual monters into the village or something like that. i wish i still had it. it really explained a lot. but it said there are absolutly no zombies in it at all. thats all i know.

yeah, but they don't know the full story, no one will until the game is actually released. there is a monster that looks like a zombie, and all i've read about it is it looks like a zombie, in magazines and all.

They seem to be normal at first... definately not dead. Quite alive, working, being normal.

And then the clock tower rings...

They all drop their activities and start groaning and picking up weapons and hacking up anything and anyone they can find. Seems to be the same way with the druid people too.

SOMETHING weird is going on, they've obviously been experimented on somehow. 'Classical Conditioning' would be the Psycholoic term.

lets go on an online quest to find out as much info as we can on the story of this game or anything new on gameplay and whoever gets the most and best info on it will win....uh....nothing. itll be just for fun. lol.

I'm not to sure on the way this seems to play though. For starters, it looks like ALOT of the same thing, blasting people around locations that all look pretty much the same. Doesn't look much on puzzles or enemies too. :S

dont worry Burnsy, theres gonna be plenty of enemies and a lot of them will look different. and as for puzzles, theres gonna be quite a few of those too. theyre just going to be more physical rather than going up to a control panel and pressing some buttons and flipping switches. im sure there will be a lot more info on these kinda game elements as he release date comes closer.

Bugs me that they're only released a few pics on ONE big monster thing, not inclduing the water squid thing or the townsfolk.

well its supposta be more action based i guess. also, i dont think they want to reveal too many monsters before the game comes out so its more of a suprise for gamers.

I kinda wish they stuck to Resident Evil style instead of revamping the game style completely to a sort of Dead Aim meets Silent Hill style survial horror.

its still gonna be a good game. at least its not gonna be like a survivor or dead aim type story thats not worthy to have the RE name. the developers just wanted to introduce something new to the series without going to far and making it a compltely different game.

For now, i'm gonna be happy with my remake and Zero. Both of which i've only played through a few times since i don't have a Gamecube, but i'm swapping my PS2 for my girlfriends brothers Gamecube, WOO!!

im not completly sure of the explanation of the monsters. i think there is a new type of virus that has nothing to do with the T or G-viruses. also, i heard that someone lets all of the monsters out on purpose. but theres a very big chance im wrong.

Not much information on this brand new game to the RE series like Zero which is exclusive to the Gamecube.

Expect lots of tension, hair raising moments, feindish puzzles, zombies and hidious new monsters to gun down and of course a great story that will reveal more about the world of Umbrella and their sinister plans.

Leon (from RE: 2) will return to the RE universe in this next chapter and will discover the creation of a new virus. It is unknown where the game will take place but somewhere in Europe is a good bet.

Also this game will be done in FULL 3D. That means no more pre-rendered backrounds and fixed cameras

Hrmmm. Check the date on that info. Sounds pretty made up to me. Especially considering it mentions that Umbrella is behind it and there are zombies in it. It's long since been offical that neother of these things are part of RE4.

wow. i just found a whole sh** load of info. a little too much to post and i think a lot of it we already know about. but i think i know why you saw a zombie-like person. it says that when you kill a person, they begin to decompose into a puddle and evaporate. maybe what you thought was a zombie was someone starting to die? anways, here is the link

No. It was a red-robbed person who was attacking leon by grabbing him and his face was decomposing. it was alive.

Okay i read through it. Not much new info, but alot of good stuff. I like the sounds of things like rockets making holes in walls and whatnot.

So this isn't cultish, it isn't ghosts etc and the people are called 'LiveStock' well now, THAT'S interesting..

anyone know if there are ever going to be any Resident Evil games on the XBOX, or am i going to have to go out and buy a gamecude, eventhough i don't want to...

By the way anyone think Resident Evil 2 was to easy, i mean i completed it in 2 hours 13 mins, that was ages ago though, Code Veronica is my fave one so far....

no, any RE games will NEVER show up on the Xbox. its not worthy enough. i suggest buying a GC since every RE game is out for it, except for the original first game.
