im not trying to start a religious debate or nothin here, i just noticed something today.
i was looking up all the prophecies of the antichrist today, and i saw a quote from the bible that was like daniel 7:4 or something. well anyway, i read the rest of the page and it says here in daniel 7:25;
He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
now i could be wrong in my interpretation, but could the trials of the catholic preists be the "persecution of the saints most high"
what do you guys think? am i just an idiot, or could this hold water?

No. The priests are disgusting pedophiles. They sure as heck aren't 'saints Most High'.

I agree, those that are being tried are far from "saints most high". I don't think we are in the end times, but then again it is only tuesday. Talk to me on friday and you might get a different answer.

I hold mix feelings on the subject of religious proficies. I have read many of the quatrains by Nostrdomas and the only thing I can really say is that thier so broad that they could fit any number of things.

Biblical prophecies, like all others, are wonderfully clear in hindsight. Any one prophecy can be made to mean anything beforehand.....if you were to say (around 600BC, for instance) "the Messiah is coming, he will be born in Jerusalem and will lead his people free of tyranny"..... that could be applied to anyone born any time after the prediction is made. As for someone in a future time being born in Jerusalem, odds are he would be, considering it was the largest city in the area and most of the people in the area tended to congregate around the large towns and cities. It's a no brainer. That one person at any one particular time appears to fulfil the prophecy more so than another is either pure coincidence or deliberate roll playing.
The same goes for any other prophecy about anything or anyone else that is mentioned in the Bible (or for that matter in any writing).

im not sure about the whole bible prophasys. but i read in the real visions of nosterdomis talked about the anti crist, exaples: "born on a summer, a sheep of red wool will be brought into the world'', "the towers that touch the clouds strong in might, will fall and tragity will spread through the land" , he also talked about a race of pig men... but i dun know ... i know that pigs have the closest orgens as man. " the serpent and the eagle will fight" and also talked about how the "anticrist" would be wize and would spered like a evil around his nation or somthing. anyhoo i know the red sheep has been born and about the 9/11 thing... but i dont think its something to worry about tooooo soon ... ( plus thinking about thouse things will attract bad omen and if your a person that astral projects that would take you to a bad place..)

The Papacy is the anti christ! Didn't a pope officially changed the date of a certain day in order to push everybody one week ahead so it would agree with the calendar? Who is HE to say that all of a sudden, we are one week ahead???
Anti christ!!!! EEEEK!

Lilmunky,
The problem with trying to use Nostradamus' prophecies to apply to todays events is that he wasn't referring to anything but the Catholic Church and events related to them. And that was the church of his day not ours.
Nostradamus was heavily Anti-Catholic and he disguised his feelings in vague quatrains so he wouldn't be arrested and executed. It's a shame people ignore his genuine contributions to society in favor of some future prophecy mumbo-jumbo..

I don't think there will ever be a antichrist, let alone one here and now. I'm an atheist but I like to ponder so I have a theory that backs up my early statement (it's a none atheist view of it). God is all powerful and all knowing right? The first point then is why would he allow the antichrist to come into the world? You could most likly give me some Religious answer about how god is testing us, I don't know much about religious dogma so I could not argue due to my ignorance. My second point is a little odd. If you were all powerful and all knowing what would you do with you infinite power? When you think about it for awhile it would REALLY SUCK. How would it suck? If you know all then you know every factor of the universe meaning you know what happens in every possible future (what would the point of living be?)! Would you truly want to know your future? So my none atheist side tells me if there is a god he would have made a world for himself made it as choatic as possible and then make himself ignorant and join it! So why would we have set hings in motion for an antichrist to come to this world and mess it up big time?
This also explains why we have not seen any burning bushs for the last thousand or so years..........gods been siting in his lazyboy chowing on chetoos and watching late night TV!

OK, my personal opinion of the whole schmeel! The whole concept of the anti-christ is not a perticular person, it is the product of all acts against GOD combined together. If you are not for Christ then you are anti. I also believe that the end times was not to single out a perticular date , but to tell each of us as an individual that we can be taken at any time in our life to the other side. I don't believe God will destroy the Earth as long as there are God fearing Christians still left on it! Like I said, this is my personal opinion!

All those sights are creative.....especially the Ted/Jesus one, its a pile of ramblings to which we are asked to read from beginning to end concurrently in order to absorb some true meaning, that would otherwise be obscured if read out of order. I inevitably chose to accept that the message will remain in obscurity to me.

First off, I would like to know how Nostrodomus was brought into this discussion, I was under the assumption it was about BIBLE prophesy, not the ramblings of a drunk alchemist. Also , about the statemant that Bible prophesy is only good in hind sight, could be said of all prophesy, not because they're all vague or all wrong but, because of the nature of all prophesy. If the facts of a prophesy could be seen as they were playing out then they could potentially be stopped rending it nuul and void, and in that case I doubt that we would see any one saying"this prophesy must be real because it almost happened". And I think that is because of this fact that makes prophesy unquantifiable at best, but not necesarily false, and that we can notice them at all, even in hind sight, does more to prove they're validity than to disprove it, whether Biblical, Mayan,Egyptian, or any one.(except Nostrodamus!)
