Naveed
This morning at 4 am, my fiancee, and two of my friends, and I were playing X-box games at my house, and my fiancee saw what she thought was green fireworks. Well a little while later she was driving home and on the news they said that people in my area who thought they saw green fireworks this morning actually saw pieces of a meteor breaking up. Just think if it hadn't broken up? It might have hit a house around here.

I heard that 2 people on average a year lose their life due to being hit by one of these!

I think that would be a cool way to leave the earth plain.

I don't know where you heard that story, Serena. To my knowledge, there isn't conclusive proof of anyone ever being killed by a meteorite.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no cool way to leave the 'earth plain'. Leaving the 'earth plain' isn't really cool at all. It is only cool why you are still here. wink2.gif

Do you live in Seattle Naveed?
Naveed
Oregon actually. But the meteor was visible from here to. Also I dug up a article on it. http://www.katu.com/news/story.asp?ID=67899

Here's a picture from a security camera at a casino in Washington, you can see how bright the meteor was.

This was at 2:45am

I think it may have been bigger then just luggage if it was that bright.

It was on a T.V. program.

Like I said, I heard. And it was an average over the years. I've never heard on the evening news of a death by one of these. But as common as it is the see meteor's in the sky and to find them on the ground...hey!!!!

I don't aggree and I apparently see things differently than you!

My top three choices that I'd like to leave earth are...

A) To not "die", but to be lifted to heaven

cool.gif To die if it meant to save anothers life even if I knew mine would be lost.

C) To be hit by a meteorite!!! Geez...even to be killed by lava...at least I knew that I saw one of the most beautiful forms of nature to me before I left....some that may call destruction...but natural disasters are natural even if it takes a human or animal life....nature in all cost leads to beauty and reformation on all realms.

I do not fear death nor life. I feel we all leave when it's meant to be. I'm just glad to experience what I'm able to and to resolve karma from pastlives and in this life time. I always learn from my mistakes. If it takes a new life and a fresh start to resolve it, then eh!!! I'm hip because I still lead in the direction to the light until I have no more lessons to learn....eventually becoming the ultimite goal.

Leaving the Earth plain isn't cool??? No one stays in the physical body here forever. Just because I find someways to be a cool to my way of thinking to leave this Earth..I'd rather leave these ways rather than being hit by a truck....but if a truck takes my life...I still would be grateful for a thing called experienced life! And I happen to feel that the otherside is REAL life...life that is in heaven. But I love my life on Earth too and everyone and thing that shares it with me.

F**k did I just get self-defensive when you may have replied out of sence of humor?

I apoligize if so and I catch the humor whether you tossed it on purpose or if you meant differently...I just now saw your reply differently than before... whistling2.gif

Sometimes I slow to catch a joke...lmao!.... whistling2.gif

were those the ones i heard about on the news? i heard about a meteor in the states that lit up the sky like a firework. it looked pretty close to the ground aswell.

i would have to disagree with the death by lava thing. being scolded be rock that is so hot it has been melted would not be my choice of ways to go. but then i want to stay alive as long as possible just to piss everyone off. he he. so i guess my opinion won't matter

I attest I may be a strange one...perhaps the most peculiar one will ever meet!

To explain my way of thinking and why that I wouldn't mind crossing over by losing my earthly life to lava...

I love rocks and crystals, and I like to collect them. Lava and volcano's are beautiful to me and I am fastinated by them. Mind you...I'm not on a suicide mission and wouldn't try to lose my life by one on purpose. But in the event it happened...at least I crossed over leaving Earth by seeing one of the most beautiful creations mother earth provides us with- in my opinion! Okay, maybe I am a nut...lmao...but if people can walk over hot coals and not feel pain nor get burned...okay lava is a different story!!!, but with my appreciation of it and gratitude of life in a whole..maybe I wouldn't feel the pain!??? Maybe I would. But regardless...Lava over a truck!

a house in new zealand was struck by a meteorite only a couple of days ago.... it smashed through the ceiling, bounced off a couch (hit the ceiling again) and landed on a table.... it was fairly big, roughly grapefruit size, maybe a bit bigger

the one going thru america, must have burnt up pretty damned well too, with the amount of light that went off
