[FONT=Arial][SIZE=7][FONT=Arial][SIZE=1][COLOR=blue]I was curious as to what people thought of Neil's three books of "Conversations with God". I've read all of them, and while at first I was skeptical, I allowed myself to be more open minded, and now I can say my life has changed in a lot of ways because of the truths he spoke of. Anyone else had this experience with his books?

The man is pretty incredible. I rented some videos of him doing spiritual lectures, and his manner is very warm and loving. I really think he might be the genuine artical. Any thoughts? :s03 :s03

I read and enjoyed all of the Conversations with God books, I, II, and III. There is also one call "The New Revelations" by Neale Donald Walsh that you would enjoy very much if you like the others. I've actually read them through more than once, but the material always seems new and fresh each time you read it! Funny how that works. thumbsup.gif
Here's the website in case you haven't already found it. He apparently has out a new book, I didn't even know about that one yet! Happy reading. http://www.cwg.org/

Hmmm, I really like this, I found it on his website.

QUOTE
Part of the challenge we face in the world today is that so many people already have their minds made up about everything. About politics, about religion, about economics, about life itself. They feel that they have all the answers, and there is nothing further to question. There is merely to implement the answers, to insist on the answers, to stick to the answers no matter what.

Yet this is dogma, and dogma is killing us. Our refusal to look for new answers-or to even consider the possibility that new answers might exist-at a time when it is clear to all of us that the old answers are no longer working, is bringing an end to the experience of life on this planet as we have known it.

thx venomshocker..

this reminds me of something I said on snuffy's god thread about god being a prison that we created for ourselves.

I have read all of the CWG books and like them a great deal. I don't think that Walshs books are any more divinely inspired than the good book, but they are good nonetheless.

If you enjoyed the CWG, you might also like reading some of the great works from Joseph Campbell, who was a master in the study of mythology and comparative religion. He really helped me understand what role religion has played over the millennia, and how the different religions relate to each other...

Here is a link to the Joseph Campbell Foundation:

Thanks you guys, you're awesome!!! Venomshocker, if you liked that quote of his, you should check out his videos too. Your public library would probably have them. He has a really great one on holistic living, and two others that I know of on relationships and abundance. They're definitely worth taking a look at.
