Driving home from work today...
There was a motorcycle in front of me, I'm looking at it and I notice this sticker.
We stop at the light and I'm noticing what he's (?) wearing (it is fairly warm).
The sticker looks just like that insignia that John Titor said was his military sign or whatever. This person is wearing a grey outfit, that has these reflectors on it, also the vest over the coat has this yellow reflector tape, striped on the back. Something about this reflector (tape) looking stuff, seems odd to me. It looked like that type in the picture of Titors car. Someone told Titor that it (the car) was fake because of the poor position of this "yellow, industrial tape. As the light turned green, I made my turn but something made me want to follow that motorcycle

titor was a hoax to sell t-shirts, think about it, why would a time traveler join a message board? he would have gone to the government, the government would have basically kidnapped him, got all they needed out of him and be done with it, no one here would know he was ever here, done and done

Well if it was a hoax then it was an EXTREAMLY well planed and thought out Hoax. I personal am on the boarder of belife and sceptic.

Some of his predictions have come true, some have yet to come true.

Ive read quite a bit about it, and honestly it freaks me out, kinda scares me.

I'm a bit like you and new to this topic but from what I can gather
his "predictions" seem to be rather general....if you ask me people
can read what they want into just about any statement, twisting it
towards being a truth or a lie if they wish.

This like many other things is people grasping at straws. I read some of Titor's stuff, sounds hokey to me. I can believe a elephant flys but it does not make it true.

to disappear off the face of the Earth or did he just vanish so-to-speak ?

he said he was leaving on a certain date, it was delayed and then he was gone a few weeks after.

I realize I am commenting on an extremely old post, but, I have to side with you. Hmmmm..... Physical time travel?

I believe that there are two (3) major flaws with the concept of time travel.

(1) IF there were EVER anyone with the capabilities of time travel, it would have been proven by now. Either from the past, present or future. I have to remark that they would have already come back in time, and time travel would be evident. BUT since no one has come back from the future, nope don't see it happening.

(2) Since some things have already been proven (space & time), there are simply too many equations to be factored in to even attempt it. I.e. the earth is spinning, the solar system is in constant motion, and the universe is expanding.
SO: To factor in the exact time one would like to return to (or be projected to) they would have to factor in the movement described above, or else there is a high probability they would end up inside of the Earth , or possibly the Moon for that matter . In any event the Earth travels at well over 2000 mph without projecting yourself to or from the exact location and/or time the outcome is just too unpredictable, but I say get a shovel or telescope and look for him.

(3) I'm in a hurry I'll post 3 later if I need to

Oh yes i've heard of John Titor, theres already a few threads about him. The whole thing sounds farfetched, but he did however predict quite a few things..

John Titor is a great man, I have met him personally in one of the conferences we both attended. He has showed to me beyond a doubt that physical time travelling is possible. All you have to do is believe.

I really can;t decide which side of the proverbial fence to sit on here.
I mean mathematically and techneically speaking his "Time Machine" is plausible.
But! Having said that there isn;t enough technology in the word rigth now to produce that kind of a machine.And if he was so far into the future and had this technology why oh why would he put it into such and old crappy car?

I asked him a similar question. He said that he thought it was ironical.

Umm, John Titor was proven a hoax well over a year ago now.

It was the site admin for the John Titor site all along. He came out and admitted the hoax. It was all for merchandising, and he made a killing off all the fools who believe it and bought the T-shirts and stuff.

Umm, no, i'm not wrong. Ask the guy. He came out and said it. There is no Titor. And there is no time travel. Sorry to bust your bubble there.
And the exact prediction was that the civil war would start just after the 2004 election and through the first months of 2005.
