When I try to enter the chatroom, it seems to let me in...so far I've only been there when there was no one else in the room, but when I type something to test if I can see my own post, I can't. That is, it shows up in the little bar where I type it, but then when I hit enter, it doesn't show up in the chat above.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong!?!?!

Is it that I have to hit "yes" when the message box pops up asking me if I want to accept/install something or other? I forget exactly what it said, but it was something about an expired certificate...or maybe that's just me that gets that, I don't know.

Anyway, mods or someone please tell me how to go about this properly. Thank you!

I had the same problem, except i never got this:

The Java version doesn't always work for me, mIRC is better by far.

Dammit, I still can't get it to work!

I downloaded the program (or whatever that mirc business is), and it installed fine, but I'm still having the exact same problem. Argh.

I guess I'll just have to do regular posts, sigh....

You'll need to set up the server on mIRC before it will allow you to connect, on the mIRC options/connect screen, click 'add' to add a server, the server is:

irc server: irc.soothchat.net

port: 6667

Then click add, select the server you just added, and click 'ok'. Once you've connected to the server, type '/join #unexplained' in the message box at the bottom of the server window to join the UM chat room.
