The other day i ran into someone who claimed to be some sort of witch or something and was spouting off something about his order/coven. all i remember was him saying something about the coven of the golden dawn or something like that, does anyone know anything else about that. Oh! and i remember he had a tatoo that looked like this : (note: its just a rough drawing from what i remember)

Try this link. They have excellent discriptions and details on many, Pagan organizations. The Golden Dawn being only one of them! Enjoy!

Order of the Golden dawn dates back to the egyptian times. More prominent in Bavaria (germany/austria) in the 19th century. between 1900 and 1945, most if not all of its member were a part of the Nazi Party or the SS. Particulary Heinrich Himmler, the head of both the SS and the gestapo. They were involved in some particulary naty stuff, including trying to raise the dead, trying to raise a dead german king from the grave, and dressing as knights templars, and other jiggery pockery. Theres two types of the golden dawn today, the hermitic order of the golden dawn, a offshoot of the original founded by a ex-spelled member, and the order of the golden dawn. Today neither will confess to having any nazi members, old or new, even though its obvious from old records. If this man says he is a part of the golden dawn, stay clear of him....my advice anyway. (sometimes the group is referred to as order of the rosie cross, or the rosicurian order. Has ties from everything from the knights templar, teutonic knights, knights of malta, illuminati, and scottish rites of freemasonry.)

You mean "Rosicrucian" BA. I wouldn't say stay clear of this person either, unless you feel threatened by them Swagger. It may just be a good opportunity to learn a little something first hand thumbsup.gif

Considering this guy is part of a deeply disturbing clan of misfits, I think you should come to a comprimise. Indeed seize the oppotunity to learn something, but carry a large knife...

I was actually a member of the Rosicrucian order for a short time. There is even a small group here where I live, though I don't attend anymore. Nothing creepy about it. Just another mystical order, like the Masons, or, hell, like the shriners. They have an entire academy and study courses for people who want in. It's interesting, to be sure, but nothing really new under the sun.
