what I was thinking for my avatar was to make a cloud pass in front of the moon and the glow in the eyes on the wolf simmer down, but the cloud uncovers the moon the eyes flicker and brighten up, just an idea, if you have any suggestions, feel free.

I just picked up a new avatar. I like this one a lot but if there is anything you can do to it to make it cooler I would really appreciate it. Maybe electricity or lightning from the staff. With your creativity I know whatever you do will be fantastic.

i was thinking of making the glow fade in and out, and spin for BeWell's, but it would only look good if i could do 45 degree turns... oh and i found out if i use that kodak easyshare thing, i can do fade in and fadeout stuff, haha... now i'm not stuck with only paint!
EDIT: here ya go BeWell, this is what i could do (since i suck at lightning) but i can try lightning after this. UA or Barman will probably do something better if you're willing to wait.

This is pretty cool. I was thinking maybe you could slow it down some though.
Keep the flash fast but slow the fade down. What do you think?

dont know if this has been asked before, but what program do you use ot make these avvies? and how hard is it?
DD, we use either microsoft GIF animator, or Ulead animator, but you hafta pay for Ulead. just do a google search for Microsoft GIF animator. i'll try to find the site that UA and I got ours from.
it isnt hard to use at all, but you have to use another program like paint or photoshop to edit each frame, then copy and paste each frame into the program. simple stuff.

It all depends on how many changes you're making, simple avatars can take as little as maybe 15-20 mins to finish, complicated ones can take a few hours.

hey jeremy, a little tip for when you're trying to write something out like that, and you have it written out already. instead of cutting out all the letters and trying to paste them into the exact spot they were in, work backwards, and just erase a letter for each frame. put the frames in reverse order of how you made them, and there ya go, it spells the words out without the letters moving around... unless of course you wanted them to move around

yeah, and for each letter taken away, make a new frame... the hard part is getting the empty space to fit with the surrounding area. it takes practice.
