Oh, yeah, that blood dripping looks good to me, I hadnt thought of long streams, but that works much better than trying to make drops, plus the background is so dark, it makes it hard to make the blood show up at all..........great job on that wabbit original.gif

Can I have the exact same avatar as above in length-66pixels and breadth-64pixels dimensions?

and is it possible to have the same avatar with same dimensions of length-66pixels and breadth-64pixels but with the lighter remaining always on?
(so two avatars in total with different alterations)
1st avatar- with dimensions of length-66pixels and breadth-64pixels
2nd avatar- with dimensions of length-66pixels and breadth-64pixels but the lighter remaining always on
sorry for troubling you again..

wabbit, this is a sort of nice background if you want to use it, but I dunno how to do the bullet holes.......

or you might have a better background.....just thought I'd leave it in case you could use it original.gif
wabbit
this is what I've come up with. I tried getting more "silvery" writing but wasn't quite as successful as I would have hoped..

Is this to your liking, MJB222?

Hate to be a spoil sport guys but has anyone actually asked BurnSide if you can use his avatar on another site first?

Everything you post on UM becomes copywritten, I think it's best to check it's OK before you use that.
sayntbrigid
Hi Barman......the thought had crossed my mind to be honest with you....seems like the right thing to do to me also.

I agree, barman... the thought had also crossed my mind but I figured that this specific picture had been found on the net...

You're right though, if it is UM property, the requestee should have asked BurnSide to use it..

Thats awesome Venledar! thankyou!

I am trying to learn how to do this stuff so I opened the .gif in imageready to try and see how you did it. I get the general idea as I can see how you used the timing and how much the pic changes from frame to frame. Sorry to be a nag but how did you apply the lighting effect?

I tried the lens flare filter but the results we not very good. Did you use the lighting effects filter? As I tried that also but there are so many setting that I am not sure what they do I could not get the nice star shaped sparkle like yours has.

wrighty
If you mean Lighting like Thunder and Lighting.

no i mean the lighting like the "twinkling" he added to the teeth on the avatar I posted.

I know how to do the thunder and lightning flashes.... this effect is something different.
wrighty
I don't know then. You can draw the twinkles on but Im not sure how Vendelar did it.
sayntbrigid
I would like to learn how the twinkling on the teeth is done too .....very much so original.gif

I opened it with a gif animator, the twinkle does not "look" drawn on as the beams blend into the background with many colors in tiny pixels

I noticed the same thing sayntbrigid..... I opened it up and tried to see how it was done..... doesnt look like drawn on twinkles..... I think he must have done them with the lighting effects filter or something.

I tried to duplicate it but mine didnt have that perfect flaring out star shape that Venledars have.

Would love to know how he accomplished that.

Sorry for not having got back to you sooner, was away tonight.. But anyway.. I use a PS plug-in called Knoll Light Factory.. Thanks to Barman, who I had got it from a while back.

you can download it here:
Knoll Light Factory

After you put this into your C>Program Files>Adobe>Photoshop 7.0>Plug-ins folder, you follow these steps:

on the image you wish to add the effect to, you chose "Filters>Knoll Light Factory" . This will bring up a common "Filter's" window. you can choose the position of the effect on the image within this screen, the brightness of the light, and the size of the light. You can also click the "Browse" and browse with the same folder mentioned above, to chose from nearly 40 different flares. you can customize the flare size, shape, reflection, color, wings, circles, glares, and everything within this window. It is a very complexed filter that adds a LOT to your work..

In this particular case, I added the flare on the teeth in one position at one size, copied it as a frame to my animator. I then enlarged the flare slightly, and copied this frame into the animator, and then gradually went up to the wanted size, and back down the same way I came up. I then did this same thing in a different position on the image.

hope you like it and hope I explained it well enough.. Enjoy grin2.gif
sayntbrigid
Ah, so one would need adobe photoshop.....Thank you Venledar....I shall have to check into that then........

those sparkles look really great
wabbit
is there any way to have the same effects with a different program, ie Paint Shop (Animation Shop)?
