I guess the picture needs re-sizing, but if you can, I would really really love to have this moving avatar and Sig.

Signatures are next door in the signature thread, although I guess we could animate it, as for the avatar here's one just flicking through the frames:



...and here's one with a star effect, there are many effects I can put in so if you don't like that one just say so and it can easily be changed, I just thought I'd give you the option of having something different rather than just a slide show:

ANIMATED RAIN TUTORIAL WITH PAINT SHOP (Part One)

I have to do this in two parts because I had too many pics to post to explain how to do this properly.

It took me forever to learn how to do this and this is the easiest way I have found to make animated rain. It sounds quite tedious, but once you get the hang of making the first frame, making the others are quite easy.


Step 1

First, I took the image that was given by CatOutaHell and opened it in Paint Shop.

Then, I created a new Raster Layer (Fig.2)

and filled it with black (Fig.3)

Then I added "noise" to the picture (Fig.4).

My choice was Gaussian, 50%, monochrome (Fig.5)

Then I added Motion Blur (Fig.7)

I put the angle at 145 degrees and the Strength % at 50 (Fig.8)

Then I clicked on "Sharpen More" twice for this specific rain effect (Fig.9)

Step 5

I then had to change the layer's properties to pull back the original picture through (Fig.11)


For this, "Screen" has to be chosen (Fig.12)

Step 6

Now, you must go back and create a few more frames. To do so, hit "undo" until your picture goes back to the original blackened frame. And now, make new frames, using the same technique that you've just learned in Steps 3, 4 and 5.

Here, I made two more frames (Fig.14)(Fig.15)

Now, to animate the frames, I opened each frame into Animation Shop and adjusted the timing to 11 (Fig.16)

that is awsome Wabbit, the trouble is, I havent a clue what a layer is, and I dont see anything in any of my programs that says layers......could it be called something else maybe in other programs? I wil have to look later put it in my search and see if there are any tutorials about layers......or any suggestions welcome........

I havent a clue about doing a gun shot for the other one though... sorry bout that, just not a thought coming to my mind on it.

I finally got an idea back from an internet friend, aparently there is this free program with layers and such....so maybe I shall be able to learn about layers soon........

its called GIMP......maybe you have all heard of it......dunno.

you just click edit signature in your profile and copy past the url to your signature picture inbetween two img tags like so:

[img][/img] with the url to your pic copy pasted between the tags

OH, I see, well the way I started was with the programs and tips on page one of this Animated Avatar Workshop.......everything you need to learn is there and the MS gif animator is free to download.......just takes some practice is all

I just wanna see if you can make me a Queen-related avatar that has my Username in it.

For a challenge, have the original Bohemian Rhapsody pose at the beginning, and make em' mouth the first few words 'Is this the real life, is just this fantasy, caught in a landslide, no escape from reality'.

Then, have them fade out, have a pic. of Freddie in the back ground with 'Pharoah' near the top.
