Well.. the game is SIlent Hill, if it was anywhere else it wouldn't be Silent Hill.

It's a small collective group, 10 regs like me. We discuss SH1-4 and have debates/chats about the series, as well as a few forums for random discussion. Good people, a little weird though, the admin Kirie is a Greman who seems to believe she will one day raise the dead...

this is going to be one of those movies that has only one of two outcomes:
1) it is an incredibly good movie, which may or may not be critically acclaimed, but will get a high box office and a large following.
2) it is an out and out piece of garbage, with a preview featuring the words "one woman's journey" or "in a world," but will get a high box office and a large "cult" following.
personally, i think it's gonne be number 2 there. i don't WANT it to be, this just seems the kind of game that can't properly be translated into movie without changing a lot of important things. in all honesty though, i don't care. i'm gonna see it, not because the silent hill games were "scary" but because they had good stories.
oh yes, one other thing. regardless of the movie being good or not, there will be a number of vocal hardcore fans of the silent hill games who, regardless of whether or not they enjoyed the movie, will whine long and loud about discrepancies, much like with the spider-man movies.

hopefuly the movie will be good. i dont know what i would do if it sucked. but RE:A was a good movie, so why cant SH be? at least it doesnt have directors like Anderson or Boll to f**k the movie up too much
Resident Evil was good because it was full of what we love, hot chicks, big guns, explosions and zombies.
They can't pile that into a SH movie and expect the same results. It has to be a movie like THE GRUDGE meets THE RING.

the Grudge looks Exactly the same as the Ring, probably cuz they were both Japanese. but im going to see it tonite. i think it will be good tho, and be what the Ring wasnt.....good
The main reason i say the Grudge is because of the part with the woman coming down the stairs walking on her knuckles with long hair. Looks just like Cynthia.
