Electronics Boutique is amazing.
Easily my favourite games place, besides the Games Arena in England, but that's a different story.
EB has everything from all the latest and best games for any console, pc etc, has action figures, comics, extras, all for gaming and gamers. So awesome.

I wanna go to the US right now. Those stores are AWESOME, even if I hate shopping, just looking at all the games is just amazing. Should have seen my face the time I entered the Toy's R US in Broadway and saw the T-Rex and all that!!!
*looks for the pics of his trip to NY*

EB is pretty awesome, but i gotta say, i like GameStop better. even tho its kinda the same thing

there are a few differences.
BurnSide
Nov 9 2004, 03:25 AM
Never heard of it. Must be a US only chain.
Shakezulah
Nov 9 2004, 03:39 AM
GameStop is the company that bought all of the Funcolands and Babages. i dont even know how EB made it with GS buying the others.

Funcolands and Babages
Never heard of those either. EB probably made it because it's world-wide, not just in the States. (EB is in the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe).

Nov 9 2004, 03:55 AM
wow there seriously were never any Funcolands there? im really suprised. they were like the only videogame store or the most major one for many years. i wonder why they never had any there.
ChrisC098
Nov 9 2004, 03:57 AM
Im in the states and ive never heard of them.
BurnSide

Maybe it's isolated to certain areas.

So i've made the decision, i don't think i'll be adding this one to my extensive game library.
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 08:19 PM

I recently broight TH3 because it was so cheap, 15 bucks.
Once SH4 gets to around that price, i'll buy it.

Nov 12 2004, 08:23 PM
I just noticed that as much as I love these games I dont have one of them.
BurnSide
Nov 12 2004, 08:25 PM
Not one?

I have SH1, 2, 3.
I'm hoping that Konami will follow in the footsteps of what they did with MGS and remake SH1 with PS2 graphics and stuff. Or maybe completely re-do it on the GC. That would be AMAZING.
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 08:26 PM
I cant see silent hill on the game cube.
BurnSide
Nov 12 2004, 08:30 PM
Why not?
RE on the GC is far better than on the PS2, really scary and amazing.
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 08:33 PM
Well thats would just be another reason to get a game cube then.
BurnSide
Nov 12 2004, 08:35 PM
Yeah.
Except as far as i know, Konami has no plans to remake it.

I don't see why not. The MGS remake for GC is a massive hit. It's really cool.
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 08:38 PM
I am really considering getting a GC alot right now.
jpalz
Nov 12 2004, 08:40 PM
Yeah, I would even buy a GameCube just to get that game!!!
Back on the day, I bought a PS2 just for MGS2
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 08:42 PM

Ok then maybe you should translate it.

Nov 12 2004, 09:04 PM
Yeah? I'd better do it, but thanks for the site anyways
jpalz
Nov 12 2004, 09:06 PM
Oh! I just found some cool songs to use in the story (not now, later): "My Heaven" and "Until Death" from the SH1 soundtrack. Those are really creepy
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 09:08 PM
Ill check those out later.

Nov 12 2004, 09:09 PM

Those can get me in the mind set.

Nov 12 2004, 09:19 PM
hehe you expect people to listen to music while reading the books?
Neat idea. Imagine if they could build-in a music system into books to give you background music while reading. Help you get into the atmosphere.
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 09:21 PM
Weve already disscussed that matter remember? We decided cost of goods produced would be alot more than for a normal book. Still a cool idea though.
jpalz
Nov 12 2004, 09:26 PM
Yup, it's a neat idea. Anyways, I wrote this before, but be sure to get this tracks for Chapter 1, Letter from A Silent Heaven:
"White Noiz" and "Forest" from the SH2 soundtrack
"Memories of Green" by Vangelis (it's on Kazaa)
Oh! and Burns, what is the name of the company where you work? I think I'm gonna put it in the story
BurnSide
Nov 12 2004, 09:27 PM
lol Convergys. But James was a writer, Mary was jobless etc. How are you gonna put it in?
jpalz
Nov 12 2004, 09:29 PM
Was he? D'oh!! As far as I know, he was a salesman, or so it appeared in silenceisbroken.com, Harry Mason was the writer. Or James can be a writer in his free time
BurnSide
Nov 12 2004, 09:30 PM
lol well, have you ever noticed in movies and television, the main character is most often a writer?
This allows them to have infinite free time, AND have alot of money. I think they did the same thing for Harry and James. As far as i knew he was also a writer, but i may be wrong at that, i apologise.
jpalz
Nov 12 2004, 09:31 PM
Hey! I may be wrong too dude!!! Besides, wether he was a writer or not is not going to dramatically change the story right?
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 09:32 PM
It could. A writer would have different skills than a computer consultant.
jpalz
Nov 12 2004, 09:37 PM
He was a salesman. Just looked up in silenceisbroken.com, the english section has an error. It was a translation from "Lost Memories", I guess
BurnSide
Nov 12 2004, 09:38 PM
It wouldn't change the story.

His profession isn't even mentioned in the game i don't think.
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 09:39 PM
Half the stuff in your story wasent in the game BS.
BurnSide
Nov 12 2004, 11:40 PM
Of course not, it would be pretty boring if the story was an exact duplicate of the game. Why bother reading it if it's exactly the same.
What's that got to do with anything?
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 11:44 PM
Well you said that his proffesion wasent in the game but after rereading the last page I look like a dumbass.
BurnSide
Nov 12 2004, 11:57 PM
haha yeah. That's okay, we all have moments.
ChrisC098
Nov 12 2004, 11:58 PM
