I just hope they can make the movie as good. I really hope it doesnt end up like some gun ho shoot em up action movie. Like most modern horror movies,

i really dont think that if the silent hill movie is made, which i hope it will be, i dont think its been greenlighted yet, will be like that. the games are made to be scary and creepy and not mostly action based like resident evil. so i think the movie will be scary as hell. have you ever played alone in the dark for ps1? if u havent, then try it cuz that game is also really scary and theres gonna be a movie on that. you can go to www.alone-in-the-dark.com to look at a couple of trailers and photos. anyways.

before you play silent hill 3, play the first one all the way through or else you wont understand a lot of 3. the first is the best and scariest in my opinion so check it out. if you play the beginning at night and that doesnt scare you...then i dont know what will. but i know youre going to winnipeg soon, boff, so when u get back, check out SH. its a great play.

Well I dont have a PS1 anymore . It broke. But I played SH 1 around when it first came, scared the bloody hell outta me!!!!

I cant even remember if I beat the game tho..I got pretty far, but I was REALLY confused, since I was alot younger .

me and my bro rented it when it first came out and we stayed up all night beating it.(ok that doesnt sound right but o well). we beat the entire game without getting hurt once. it was awsome.

I know your a guy who lives in an apartment, and one day he wakes up nad the door wont open. There is no way out of the apartment what so ever, and I believe his neighbour (a female) is stuck as well. But there is some portal in his bathroom, so he goes through it, trying to get out.

i just started a new game in SH1 today and i realized that its snowing in the game. is it winter when Harry goes there are is that just part of the creepiness?

i actualy solved the piano puzzle by myself! im so smart. but does anyone know what those little black baby ghost things are in the school?

It's the summer when harry and Cheryl go to Silent Hill, height of the resort season. It's snowing out of season, and it's foggy, and there is no one around. That's the weirdest part about Silent Hill.
The ghosts, man they bugged me. They don't hurt you, you can't hurt them EXCEPT with the light. Shine the light on them long enough, they dissapear. They're just there to freak you out and get your radio buzzing but like all monsters they do represent something.



Silent Hill 4, wow. There are references in it to all the other games. The landlord of the apartment complex Henry and his neighbour Eileen are trapped in is MR. SUNDERLAND. James' father from the second game. Also in the second game a man called Walter Sullivan is mentioned. He's a main character in Silent Hill 4 as well.
Finally, in Silent Hill 3, a place called Hope House is mentioned alot. Alessa spent some time there. It's an orphanage where kids were subjected to the Cult from the first/third games. They were punished and abused and often killed. Yikes. That's in the 4th game.

Yeah i know. Seems to be quite interactive to say the least.
There's a few more on top of that list i believe. Including the monsters which are all people in this game, called 'victims'.

Not exactly.

I've seen the good old dog-creatures from SH1-3 are back.
I've seen floating dead people. They kind of just float, lifeless about a foot above the floor in a standing position. When they get close to you they spring to life and attack. Yikes. They're victim's. The other victims are people that seem like zombies, they kind of slump their way to you.
Then of course there's the horrible screaming baby-heads. It looks like a torso wearing a fur coat that runs around using it's big arms, and it's face is 2 baby faces that screams at you when attacking. YIKES!!
The other monster i've seen appears to be another victim, a woman who lies on the floor face down and when you approach starts breathing REALLY loudly, and then crawls towards you really fast. It looks REALLY freakin scary.

Oh yeah! I forgot about those. You are correct, there are spirits of victims too, they can travel through walls!!!

There also appears to be a character like Valtiel too.

Valtiel was the character crawling around in SH3. He would turn Valves when Heather changed to the alternate world. He is called the 'gatekeeper' to the otherworld. He appears to be, or a character like him, in SH4.

I dunno, didn't think about bosses. They're a common thing in SH though so i'm sure there will be some. Don't know of any tho, no info yet.

the bosses in SH2 were so lame and stupid. nothing big and cool. just the pyramid head 2 times, the stupid doorman thing and the things in the hospital the come down from the ceiling. the last boss was pretty much just a copy of those too. thats the only part of the game that really dissapointed me.

Yeah, i totally agree. PH, don't even need to fight him. Hanging Cage things look like, 15 shots with the pistol each. Doorman in the Labyrinth becomes a normal monster you fight lots anyway, dumb. Then 2 pyramid heads, with enough room to run around and shoot them with ease, and then the Mary/Maria monster at the end, what did that do?? The moths stunned you but didn't hurt, and she never got close enough to hurt me. Gay!! In SH3 they were better, but still easy as fawk. Leonard was stupid easy, as was the split-worm.

yeah i died on the split worm somehow but my friend beat it easily. the Evil God boss took me a long time tho, even with all the ammo i had.

I know, that damned boss was hard!! No matter how much ammo i went down there with, i always ended up running out and using the mace or Katana on it.

Split worm, the first time i went down to fight that thing i was low on ammo and had to resort to melee weapons for it, and died. The second time, i have about 60 shots and it only took about 20, dead easy.
The memory of Alessa boss was AWESOME.

have u ever played the game Siren for ps2? it just came out not too long ago and it looks a lot like silent hill. i havent played it myself because its supposta be reeealy hard.

No, sadly i have very little time for games, and no money to buy or rent new ones as of late. So i stick with what i got.

I want you to watch THIS trailer, closely. If you got the guts. It's really scary, especially if your lights are off.

Notice several things:

1) The town is not Silent Hill. You go there, but you don't start there.
2) The holes in the wall at the beginning. These are PORTALS which Henry uses to get around Silent Hill. He is trapped in his apartment and must use the portals to get out, which transport him to different areas of SH.
3) The monsters. You can see the victims floating around, the horrible 2-baby-headed-monsters, the Dogs called 'Slurpers' the crawling woman, who is terrifying in my opinion. etc etc
4) The guy in the wheelchair. Who. Also the other characters. There's lots.
5) The weapons. Notice it's nearly all melee weapons. Yikes.
6) The sheer SCARINESS of it! I'm terrified and so excited to play this game.
