Well you're right there. Here in the UK fairly recently RE is evreywhere. Same with GTA. They're the first video games I've ever seen on billboards actually. Silent Hill could really benefit from haveing the words Silent Hill in scary fonts pasted on to a black background and put on billboards.

Did RE ever advertise on televison commercials? Or am I thinking of GTA? I think they both did...

Never seen one for Silent Hill.

They'd have to show it after the watershed anyway, I suppose.

But yes, it's definately from SH1.

So what do ye think? I hope the storyline isnt TOO familiar. I'd like to see and learn something new. On the other hand, I'll be one step ahead; my reward for playing the game.

oo yeah, I remember that part. It was sweet!!!

I liked the game. Why? First part: because of the murders and the freaky events.
Second part: the ghosts in your room! It's supposed to be the safest place, but in the end it turns out to be rather unsafe

I know, that was cool. At first, the Room heals you, and it's pretty much like you're invincible for the game, but then they invade your apartment, and it's no longer the safe comfortable place it was, it hurts you to go there now, and you get freaked out wondering where the next ghost will be. In the fridge? Possesing the shoes? Radio? Couch? Walls? Sink? TV? Phone? Door? So cool.

Wow the set looks good from what i see, very Silent Hill. Not sure about the story where survivors in the town are 'fighting the Darkness' though.

I can imagine there'd be quiet a few parts from the game in it. It definately seems to be based losely on the first game, however changed enough to give it it's own story.

I would like to see maybe the odd character in the movie from the games, like Alessa or Lisa, but i guess we'll have to see.

I don't think Lisa will be in it, but the odd reference wouldn't be wasted. Same with Dr. Kaufmann.

Yeah, Allessa could be in it. In that trailer there was a lady a lot like allesa; she was yelling at someone from upstairs.

Alessa kinda needs to be in it, she was the whole reason the town switches between the nightmare world, it's her nightmare, she manifests it across the town.
I don't know how they'll explain the monsters and whatnot without her, but i garantee it'll be a letdown.

Whatever they do, I bet I could do it better than them. If only I had enougth money to put where my mouth is.

Ahhhh, seeking is a life saver, and absolutely right. There are a couple more shots, and it says that CYBIL will be aiding 'Rose' in her quest to find her daughter. So it sounds very similar to SH1, almost identical, except they switched Harry for Rose. Why?? Why not just leave Harry!?

i dont know, i really kinda wish they kept harry, but im betting that a wider audience will believe a mother looking for her daughter more than a father, or at least get more emotionally attached....personally i dont see a difference though

I have a feeling whoever wrote this isn't the same guy who wrote SH1, nor does he have a good grasp of the actual story..

This whole story with the dying child.. it's starting to make me wonder, maybe there will be a twist at the end, that Rose actually killed her child, ala-James? Oooo. Why else would she have been drawn to Silent Hill, unless Sharon the daughter is the second part of Alessa, and Samaels, soul.

Just watched the final FMV's with Lisas death and Lisas return....Brr....

They're exceptionally well done, especially with the music. And then finding Lisas diary right after, man i can't wait to write about that part in the novel. It'll be a real challenge to make it understandable and graphic enough though.

Uh-huh. I once wrote a peice of fan-fiction about Lisas diary. It was the full diary, before and after the peices you read. I stopped it when she died. It was awesome. I had to completley reboot my computer though

I hate that. Happened to me too, i wrote tons of things in my youth that i lost due to a sever virus downloaded from KAZAA.

Yuppers. Thats why I don't use it much anymore.
