Alright, I've heard the argument to this question before. Yes, I understand that if there is an apocalypse, it will be the only apocalypse, because an apocalypse is the end of the world and/or all things. However, I know there is such a thing (in theory) as an averted apocalypse, or something that would have ended the world had it not been stopped. Therefore, what would be the plural to apocalypse?

Yes, these are the sort of random questions I ask my friends when standing in lines at movie theatres. . . . . blink.gif

That being said when I type apocalypses into my Works program that has automatic spell checker it doesn't correct it. rolleyes.gif

I needed to write apocalypses for a story, and my spell checker has no clue what to do with it.. . . . My friends came up with Apocoli, Apocolee, and Apocolypses. I'd stick with the es, though it is an interesting question to ponder and to ask random people. . . . .It gets them confused.
