My grannie always had real good sayings.
"Each to their own said the old lady as she kissed the cow"
"The sun go up the sun go down, hands on the clock go round and round. Life gets tedious, don't it"
She used to say this one to me. I never knew what she was talking about until I got older! "I know one thing and thats not two".
Her words of encouragement were a little strange too.
"It's always darkest before it goes completely black" and "They can kill ya, but, they can't eat ya".
My Gran died 30 yrs ago at the age of 75. I still miss her words of wisdom!

It is told that Buddha, going out to look on life, was greatly daunted by death. "They all eat one another!" he cried, and called it evil. This process I examined, changed the verb, said, "They all feed one another," and called it good.

Human life consists in mutual service. No grief, pain, misfortune, or "broken heart," is excuse for cutting off one's life while any power of service remains. But when all usefulness is over, when one is assured of an unavoidable and imminent death, it is the simplest of human rights to choose a quick and easy death in place of a slow and horrible one.
