do you have to be born with physchic abilities or can u learn them by practicing etc.(im new here and last night i was reading the post in this forum and they intrigued me)

Hmmm, I think everyone has psychic abilities - it's all a matter of degree.

That said, as with any skill or ability, you can enhance and develop it. How it works tends to be encouraged or discouraged by your behaviour.

so basically everyone has these abilities in a sense, but they just to need unlock and embrace them. This is really fascinating, what are like the begining levels, like what would u say to start off with

Meditation & clearing of the junk going on in the mind is a good place to start. Do it daily and stick with it - it takes time. Open up your chakras too. There are lots of postings about this kind of stuff on the forum...

I always tend to have more 'psychic flashes' when I'm following what I consider to be my true life path - facing up to challenges without shying away from them. Then I also get synchronicities.

I'm currently trying to do the same but i just started so i have no results yet. but it is not something that some people are born with and others are not its just that in some people these abilities are more accessable while in others the ability is there but i guess just dormint.

It sounds like this topic is getting a little on the catty side! I do believe we are born with a certain potential. Whether we unlock these is totally up to us. There are so many doors to open if a person has the ability to do so. Dohiyo

I have met many people who appear to be able to see beyond what we would consider normal . I think it is in born in us to be phsychic but only a handful of us manage to keep that ability from birth and the rest of us have to work at re-wiring the brain to get it back in working order .

Infact I have only met one person on this board (so far) that I have seen to be gifted from birth, but several who have developed skill along the way . And lots more who just want to be different .



P.S. I think it's important to point out that the one person I spoke about knows who she is . As I have contacted her allready through PM's.

Kings fan, I don't believe I was born with psychic abilities, but it was up until January 2002 that I discovered I had them.

I have an interesting question. From where these abilities come from? For example egyptians used to think that the heart is the source of feelings and all mental functions, they just thought that the grey stuff in our head is kinda funny and odd.
Then, lets think about "paranormal" abilities. How you do the telekinesis? Does the action start from your neural system, like all the other actions? How about telepathy?
Many say, that if they lose one of the senses, the others get stronger. What about the person that is paralyzed, not able to feel, hear, see, tasta, smell (coma-patients) Could they have contact to outside world thru other abilities?
Or do you think that these abilities have nothing to do with physical world, though the manifestations are concrete?

Everyone with born with the abilities, it just a matter of unlocking them.

That wasn't the answer I was looking for.. hmm.. how to explain this.. For example everyone are not born with eye-sight, or it can be lost. I mean, if there was a way to find out, from where the ability functions from, we could determine if one could be handicap in this matter, and not just able to do the needed function.
To use the example of the eye-sight, if seeing is just not possible, it's not a matter of unlocking the ability. So, this might not be the case in psycic abilities, but that was my question, what happens in your body, when you perform telekineses etc. or does anything happen.

We are all born with "psychic" abilities, it just takes some of us longer to develope them then others.

From around 1999 to I think 2001, I would always imagine numbers in my head counting down, and once the numbers got to zero, something would happen. Like if I was waiting for someone to get out of the bathroom, I would imagine numbers, count down, and right when it got to zero, whoever was in the bathroom would come out. I would be lying in bed in the morning and imagine numbers for no reason but when it got to zero, I'd hear someone get out of bed. This "gift" or whatever you want to call it is completely gone now.

And in the winter of I think 2000, I was able to hear people's thoughts but only when I was talking to them. I'd be talking to someone and suddenly think something strange that I know I didn't think up. It's kinda hard to explain. This is gone now too. It only lasted for a month or two. It might have been my mind playing tricks on me, but the thoughts were weird and they always sounded like something the person I was talking to would think.

I did nothing to "unlock" these. I noticed them, but they were weak at first then they slowly became more powerful, and they eventually dissapeared.

I've always believed that everyone's born with abilities, but if they aren't harnessed, they wither away, so basically only the abilities you focus on will remain.

That's just me though.

its been said that at any point in the day, a very small percentage of the brain is being used. so using phsychic abilties probably utilizes the dormant lobes.

well as the others said everyone is born with theese abilitys its just a matter of training the abilities and embracing them and if you are eager to learn these things quick slow it down beacuse if u trt doing these things qikly they will come out corrode trust me i should know besides i'm a avenger so what should i know my advice dont cut off a wolves head cuz if you do it would still have the power to bite back

its true learning these things are hard but once u become a master you will be able to use them more therily but using them as a show disgusts me and you dont have to be born with th e abilities
