Just to let you know that this is bad news! I know people who's websites and mail servers are down, dns's are flooded and DSL is down, due to this virus even though Symantech said it was a storm in a tea cup.

Here is some info:

Conflicting reports about 'Evaman', the virus are doing the rounds. Symantec has rated it a level two threat whereas some Media reports liken it to mass-mailer MyDoom, which clogged mail servers and slowed down computers. MyDoom, like many other mass mailers, installed its own SMTP engine to send out copies of itself. Evaman is a mass-mailer, which spreads to addresses found at the Web site email.people.yahoo.com. It arrives as an attachment with a .exe or .scr extension. Infected emails generally have subject headings such as 'failed transaction' or 'failure delivery'.

The worm coded as W32.Evaman@mm by Symantec, searches Yahoo!'s email address directory and tries to email itself to resulting addresses by connecting to a dozen different outgoing mail servers.
