Completely random, I know (but that's what this forum's for, I suppose), but is anyone else here learning/does anyone else know German? Share your thoughts, jokes, stories - anything having to do with the language.

The biggest joke I can think of is that My Mother is from Germany and spent many years trying to teach it to me. I just couldn't pick it up beyond a few basic phrases. It's the most impossible damn language I've ever tried to wrap my mind around. No wonder we always invade other countries. We just want to own a nation that speaks a sensible language..
