1. Doctor Who.
2. Spike (from Buffy).
3. Buffy.
4. John Crichton (from Farscape).
5. Aeryn Sun (from Farscape).
6. Han Solo.
7. Willow (from Buffy).
8. Darth Vader.
9. Angel.
10. Gandalf.
I can see why Dr. Who would be on the list considering his origin and everything, but number 1? No doubt Farscape is hugely popular as indicated by the two choices, although, again, John Crichton is a stretch for top 10. Honestly though, 1 character from Buffy is absurd, much less 4, given the vast array of possibilities. I find it hard to believe there's no one from any of the Star Trek series, or Babylon 5, the X-files, older Sci-Fi shows like Quantum Leap, Alien Nation, Lost in Space, V, the Invaders, as well as movies such as, Day the Earth Stood Still, Alien, etc. Except for Gandalf (and to a lessor extent, Dr. Who) science fiction literature isn't even represented - what ever happened to Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, Ming the Merciless, Valentine Michael Smith, and countless other characters? The focus seems much too narrow and the choices limited by recent popularity. Am I right? Would you like to list your choices? Here are mine, in no particular order;
Buck Rogers (probably #1)
Mr. Spock
David Vincent from the Invaders
Valentine Michael Smith from Stranger in a Strange Land
Darth Vader
Fox Mulder
Klaatu - Michael Rennie in 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'
Ripley in 'Alien'
Dr. Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap
G'Kar from Babylon 5
Magikman
