Hey long time no see. Well Yesterday morning at around 5:30 I was sleeping under my covers my head covered to, and I heard a hissing noise and the air was getting sucked out of me. I felt what was there over me it was pressing against my arm. It happened two times. I couldn't breathe. It stopped but I still heard the hissing.
Can anyone explain this.
P.S. It also happened to my mom a few months before.

I know this gets said over and over, but it sounds like sleep paralysis. I believe that it can run in families, so Your mother having it too supports that line of thinking somewhat..

My husband will be sound asleep and then he'll jump and sit up, trying to catch his breath, because sometime while he was sleeping he forgets to keep breathing....It's scary but it happens.

See your doctor about sleep apnea.

Have you tried removing the vacum cleaner hose from your mouth when you go to bed?
I find that always helps me!

Hmm...Did your mother hear the noise too, or was that unique to you?

Hey..Hey.. no need to feel ashamed! a good puncture repair kit should do the trick!
If the hissing persists put her back in her box and try reading a good book!
