Jul 16 2004, 02:43 PM
Not just another GTA game my friend.
THE GTA game.
Unlike previous games, you don't just drive around one city, you drive around the ENTIRE STATE of San Andreas which is modeled on California with Cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
You can build and manage your own Casinos, travel on anything from Jumbo jets to BMX bikes, f***, there's NOTHING you can't do in this one.

I'm shorting the rent as we speak so I'll have money to buy it.

It sounds like it will be the greatest game ever! And if you're not too busy BS, I've been trying to rope some judges into judging my resurrection debate for days now..
BurnSide
Jul 16 2004, 02:48 PM
Oh yeah! I saw that it was finished a few days ago i just haven't had a chance to read through it.
Going out for half an hour now, it's safe to say that when i get back it'll be judged.

ok good, and to stay on topic....EVERYONE PLAY BLOODRAYNE!!!!!!!!!!!!
best vampire game out there
Shakezulah
Jul 17 2004, 01:16 AM
actualy, BloodRayne is one of the only vampire games out there. and all of the others suck. i hope the 2nd is a lot longer than the first and has more monsters.
BurnSide
Jul 17 2004, 01:43 AM
Pah, there's hundreds of vampire games!
Countdown vampires, Blade 1 and 2, Soul Reaver 1, 2 and 3, Blood Omen 1 and 2, just to name a very few of them. Plus hundreds of others that include vampires.
However, you're right on the fact that they mostly suck. And not just in the literal sense. However i'm quite keen on the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver/Blood Omen games personally.
Shakezulah
Jul 17 2004, 01:50 AM
i know all about those games. i just meant games that actualy have vampiric aspects(sucking blood and stuff like that). i know blood omen does. soul reaver...im not sure about. the blade games barely do. they dont make too many vampire games anymore.

Update: GTA SA images.
:: A combine harvester with razor-sharp blades working on a field.
:: A dirtbike (similar to Sanchez from Vice City) riding through the forest.
:: Articulated trucks, including ones with huge detachable gas canisters.
:: A monster truck riding through a valley and a shallow river bed.
:: A jeep overlooking the sunset on a cliff.
:: An SUV driving through the meadows.
:: An ATV racing on a dirt track.
If you know what a combine Harvester is, you'll take great excitement in knowing you can use one in the game.
These images are available at GTAgaming.com which i have been unable to access due to work restrictions. Check em out!!

AWSOME JPALZ! its gonna be better than GTA SA!. haha. jak 2 was the shizznit! the last boss was soooo frusterating tho. i got in trouble for swearing too loudly. lol. but in Jak 3, you get some awsome vehicle that has a mounted machine gun on it and Daxter gets to shoot it while Jak drives and you can drive around the desert to kill some kind of armored lizard creatures! sounds awsome, huh? go to www.gamespot.com to read about more. they have a giant preveiw of it.

And just name one other game where picking up hookers increases your health..
Shakezulah
Jul 17 2004, 02:12 AM
ummm....excuse me. did you say BORING?!?!?! I THINK NOT! the jak games are way more interesting. better graphics, better backrounds, better enemies. i mean, GtA, you just kill people. sure thats fun. and im not saying i dont like the GTA games. they rock. but the Jak games have a better variety of missions and you can still drive around as much as u want. Jak 3's environment is supposta be over 3 times the size of Jak 2's. oh yeah. i dont recall any GTA games winning best game of the year either. Jak 2 did!

Jul 17 2004, 02:12 AM
No no, haha. Picking up hookers, driving to a back-alley, screwing that hooker royal, paying her... and then after she leaves chasing her down with a chainsaw, jamming that chainsaw into her gut and taking back the money you paid her.
CAMAAAAAAN!!

I found both Jak games horribly tedious and boring personally.
And umm, not winning any awards? Both GTA3 and Vice City have both sold more games than ANY other title. They BOTH have been voted best overall game more than 10 times in various magazines and events.

Wow BurnSide! It never even occured to me to try that.

That's scary. But you wanna talk replay value, new ideas like that define it!

obviously Burnside, you didnt get very far in Jak 2. i dont know how you can say that they are boring OR tedious.

Jul 17 2004, 02:17 AM
Falco, did you also know that besides Fireman, Taxi, Ambulance, Vigilante and Brown Thunder you can also do BUS DRIVER? Hijack a bus, and at every bus stop, stop and let people on, and you'll get 5 bucks for every person that comes on. ! I just found this out recently.
Falco Rex
Jul 17 2004, 02:21 AM
That's a new one on me too. It's not even in the official guide to the game. Where the heck do you learn all this stuff? Or do you just keep playing until you find it?

its alright. lets just forget about that. anyways..... do you like the Devil May Cry games?
BurnSide
Jul 17 2004, 02:48 AM
Capcom Survival Horror did you say??
haha i love Devil may Cry. Admittedly the first one more than the second one. Very good games, a little on the easy side, but very very cool.
Shakezulah
Jul 17 2004, 02:52 AM
yeah the 2nd was worse than the first. waaaay to easy. never beat it tho. lol. and the combo system was way too slow. the first was really hard if you play on hard or Dante Must Die mode. i cant wait till the third! but its a prequel. i guess thats not always bad. i hope it doesnt get really anticipated and then turn out to be sucky like 2 was.
BurnSide
Jul 17 2004, 03:01 AM
Yeah the general movement was really slow i found in the 2nd.
Dante Must Die was crazy!! What was your favourite weapon combo in the first one? I always preferred good old thundersword and ebony/ivory combo. wasn't much of a fan of the fire fist thingies.
The third one is going to be incredible. Gah i hate how many good games are comming out!!
Shakezulah
Jul 17 2004, 03:08 AM
yeah i hated the fire gauntlets. stupid. never bought any upgrades for them. i liked the thundersword and ebony/ivory or the shotgun. the shotgun was good for the sewer level because of all the bugs and the level boss too. i just strated a new game in the first one so i can unlock hard mode and DMD mode. i saw some kool screens of 3 in a PSM issue that has some cool lookin enemies and this awsome looking boss which is a 3 headed dog that is half-frozen in ice.
BurnSide
Jul 17 2004, 03:09 AM
Crazy! I haven't seen any DMC3 screens. I should look some up.
Shakezulah
Jul 17 2004, 03:15 AM
wow. i just beat the first level in DMC and my ranking was C. it was never too easy to get good rankings in the game. i used to do a little better. but i havent played in a long time.
BurnSide
Jul 17 2004, 03:17 AM
Did you ever play Dino Crisis 2?
That game was ROCKING. I loved the combo aspect of the game, how fast-paced it was. Obviously it doesn't compare to DMC, being on the PS1 and all, but i really did love just running through the jungle, doube Uzis blazing shooting dinos left and right, it was SO much fun. Never got to play the third one tho, although i heard it wasn't as good.
Shakezulah
Jul 17 2004, 03:24 AM
i never played Dino Crisis 2, although i played a demo of the first that came with RE3. didnt like it much. it was kinda hard. the third game looked kinda dumb. the plot was stupid too. bringing the far past to the far future...blah. you know that games sh** when u read about it for the first time. besides, it was on that sh** machine Xbox.

I actually enjoyed both Dino Crisis games. Im more into the Dinosaur gig than the Zombie thing. Either way both Dino and Resident E. are great games.

another great survival horror game for the PS2 is Extermination. its about some kind of tactical squad go to investigate an Arctic base and they discover some kinda virus thats been infecting people and turning them into some really gruesome looking monsters. its really fun but kinda hard at times. and its you dont have to have the feeling of being lonely like you do in other survival horror games because you ge to meet a lot of other characters including your team but most of them die anyways. Burnside, i think this is a game you would really like. rent it sometime when youre not busy and i think youll find it quite good.

Hey have you played the game Run Like Hell ( RLH )? I haven't got a chance to if you have is it worth buying?

Jul 17 2004, 04:59 AM
yeah i have. ive beaten it too. and they really left it open for a sequel. but there is no news on one yet. the music in the game is by my third fav band Breaking Benjamin. and their new album just came out and its really good. as for RLH, i loved the game and i still plan on buying it. so yeah, i think you should buy it. but even if you dont like it, its ok cuz the game is like 15 bucks so its not really wasting anything.
