Me and my friends all did it one night, and right before we said the final 'Bloody Mary', the mirror seemed to have some light coming out of it!

Pretty friggin' scary!

Hmmm...I've never really learned about Bloody Mary much...What are you supposed to say?

There are actually different versions of the Bloody Mary story and what it is you say/do.
I personally am a chicken lol, so i've never tried any of them, and most likely won't!!

ohh my friends did this when we were like 10..
turn off all the lights and say "bloody mary" while facing a mirror...i think u were supposed to say it 3 times...i dont remember very well tho lol but ive never tried it....im too chicken too hehe

I heard of a guy who had his eye ripped out and his girlfriend killed because of it. I don't believe many of those cases but I believe that it's probably mainly psychological.

WHen i was in second grade (about 16 years ago) the bloody mary and Black aggie stories were running through school like wildfire...


The girls (never me, i too am a firm member if the chicken society), would go into the bathroom and say bloody mary into the mirror, then a couple of them would run out screaming saying that they saw a woman with blood on her face and a knife in the mirror.

Black Aggie was similar. It was based on the legend of an old grave stone in a cemetary here in Baltimore. As the story goes, teenagers were out in the cemetary and one of them crawled into aggie's arms and died. Eventually the statue disappeared and the claim was that it walks among us and kills people that call out Black Aggie three times.

(in reality, the cemetary had the statue removed because all the kids would sneak into the cemetary at night to scare themselves and ended up destroying other gravesites in the process)

All stories have some basis in fact, then they get stretched a little...

I've seen about 10 threads on this so far; so I just had to go try it. So into the bathroom I strode, boldly turning off the light and uttering the dreaded name 5 times. And then I waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally, figuring this story was yet another hoax on the gullible I switched the light back on. And there in the mirror I saw...

If you look into the mirror and say retard once everyday for seven months your mental potential will be realized, trust me.

i didn't think one time would seal it for me so i did repeated trials....so far i think i managed 16 times... obviously nothing lethal happened if i'm telling u about it....i tried it a couple different ways but i always try to do it at midnight. But out of the 16 i had two results....once i saw a face, which i ruled out as my mind playing tricks on me, and the other time however, nothing happened and we turned on the light and heard a scream...not to mention the light was red. That totally confused me, so i turned it off, waited ten seconds and turned it back on and it was normal....i still don't understand that.

I totally don't believe in this, just a product of a childs imagination. And im sure if it was real bloody mary would be pretty busy visitng all the mirrors of young thrill-seekers everywhere.

When I was 7 or so, my dad told me that if you repeated "I don't believe in Mary Whales" or something like that in front of a mirror, a woman would come and kill you. It freaked me out for a week or six. Never tried it and don't plan on it either. Anyway...Here's some stuff on Bloody Mary

wasn't there a similar story only it was Candyman instead of Bloody Mary? (I've heard of both since like grade 5 or so...)

I've heard the candyman story as well, and again being the chicken i am didn't want to try it. I've had friends that tried both and said nothing happened. There are so many different versions of the same story with different names. I also heard that its supposed to work on any surface that gives a reflection.

I remember at school there was another version of this going around where you stood in front of the mirror and said the prayer 'Hail Mary' backwards in the mirror and you would let an evil spirit lose.
I was at a Convent school so you can imagine the stigma attached to such a crime!LOL. Well of course I tried it! with a small group of my friends and the results were that before we even got to the end of this we were out the room screaming. Not so strangely weird things did seem to start happening, I say not so strangely because looking back all those years (that makes me sound old!) It was nothing more than our frightened and delicate imaginations running wild, in other words it was a psychological effect.
This is just an urban myth. now I am older of course I tried the Bloody Mary in the mirror since and nothing, diidly squat, zilch. Probably because my logic is more or less in control of my imagination now.

I heard of the bloody mary thingy. Its only a urban Legend What you do is get a red candle (light it up course)and then you say mary mary thingy 5 time then you'll see bloody mary on the mirror.It was only suppose to scared the little children and things.

How the effected created to see bloody mary:
The red candle is pretty much does the whole thing it creates the blood like setting.and you look in the mirror you see blood mary.(its actually your face)
But i don't think its work really effective and i don't think a male will work well on it.

All sounds like kids stuff to me! Only face I see in the mirror is my own.."BLOODY HAIRY!"
This stuff's on par with watching Scooby Doo hiding your head under the covers and screaming "Is it gone yet?"....Am off to have a shave! ! !

And get nothing but blind when the flash hits the mirror.. Or you could forget about the flash and take pictures of the dark..

Although i don't see how a thing can jump out of a mirror and kill you.

I know.. when i watch horror movies, it makes me imagine things, that are completely insane.

This film was on last night, and was called Valentine, and i just about watched it.

I went to bed, and found myself waking up suddenly for no reason at all. I wasn't scared, just concerned.

It's because even though you haven't got the images in your mind, you can dream up stuff thats even weirder. In the subconcious.

To me, the most terrible thing is the fear and paranoia i would cause myself.

Fear and paranoia can make you feel or do anything, you normally wouldnt do.

u could use the nightvision on the camera, mine can do that .

It's funny how the story of Bloody Mary never gets old. It was going around my school when I was about 11 or 12. There always seems to be one or two people who "know" someone that was killed, scratched or hurt while saying it.

I don't really believe in it, but I do have a pretty vivid imagination still, so I'm definitely not going to be trying it anytime soon.

So there's a bar with a lot of mirror decor and I ordered bloody mary several times ...it would really go well with nachos and guacomole.

I remember doing this at school, "Bloody Mary,Bloody Mary,im the one who killed your husband" say this 6 times in a mirror and she will appear all zombiefied and scary!
I remember a girl doing this at school and she went home with a headache.She died 7 days later from a brain hemmorage!.................only joking!

I'de like to know how this whole urban legand started,it seems to be popular all over the world,I wonder if kids these days know about it or was it only an 80's thing!

Okay, has anyone every done the thing where you go in a dark bathroom with the door closed and say, "Bloody Mary," over and over again? I just wondered if anyone has ever done that and actually had something happen with it. I was always too scared to try!

In my school we heard that we have to have a knife on one side of the sink, a fork on the other, and have the water running. Then you turn off the lights and spin around and say Bloody Mary, I think 3 times.

We were stupid back then and damn scared when I did it, but nothing happened.

Try "playing" Bloody Mary on the night of the full moon (around midnight, the witching hour) with black candles lit around you for your only light, stare into the mirror (or with a friend stare) and chant "Bloody Mary" 13 times.

All this sounds so scary anyway has anyone got the true storey on Bloody Mary ?

Candyman is a horro movie from the early 90's. You need to see it. It's pretty freaky.

Well, I was a child of the 80's myself. I don't know if the kids now know about it. Maybe we should tell them and freak 'em out!

Also, my aunt used to tell me and my cousins when we were kids that if you stood in front of the mirror and said "I don't believe in the Bell Witch" like 100 times, she would come into the room and take you places. I always used to want to try it because I wanted to go to Disneyworld! LOL!

I agree! My chum Hillary did it once, I can't remember what she said, but I think she saw Bloody Mary.

The version of the bloody mary story I heard is this:

Go into the batroom, turn of the lights, and start spinning around. Say bloody mary 30 times, and look in the mirror. Now, I'm not sure how you are supposed to look in the mirror with the lights off. Maybe you need candles? But you are supposed to either see a face with blood on it, or your face with blood on it. Either way, after spinning around 30times in the dark, I wouldn't be surprised if I saw George Bush with pixies playing the violin sitting on his shoulder.
