Chimps are not monkeys. They are apes, like humans, gorillias, Orangautangs, and Gibbons.

While Apes evolved from monkeys they aren't monkey's themselves, although both are members of the Primate Family.

Easiest way to tell if its a monkey or an ape is to check if it has a tail. None of the 5 Ape species have tails, but almost all monkeys do.

Anyway, it depends on the species of monkey, some with only eat fruit, some will only each insects, some that eat lizards etc of the ones that eat meat most probably will not be picky enough not to eat chicken if they can get their hands on it.
