I got 1,000 U.M. dollars on the Raiders, a better offence then last year and probably have a crappy defence any takers. Pats well they might be the best team, but hey three superbowl titles I'm on the Hater Band Wagon.

i have to say...the pats didn't really look great tonight. that is what they are though. never impressive when in regular season, but WHAM in your face when it counts. thumbsup.gif

kerry collins was pool gas that is why the raiders lost. raiders actually were doing good until mid-second quarter.

So far I’m 0-1

My Sunday picks for Sep. 11

Chicago at Washington, Redskins over the Cubs 27-14

Cincinnati at Cleveland, a tough call but the Bengals win their opener 21-7

Denver at Miami, A tough match for the untested Nick Saban, Broncos have this 31-24

Houston at Buffalo, the Texans get better every year Carr wins it 20-17

New Orleans at Carolina, Katrina probably has the Saints down, Panthers win it 24-21

N.Y. Jets at Kansas City, Pennington will have a shaky start but can win it 24-17

Seattle at Jacksonville, The Seahawks can be playoff contenders they have this 31-14

Tampa Bay at Minnesota, No more Randy Moss no more wins Tampa has this game 24-20

Tennessee at Pittsburgh, Mcnair is the better QB but Steelers have the better D-fence and running game Steelers 24-17

Arizona at N.Y. Giants, Eli ain’t no Payton a close game but this is a homer pick Giants if you can believe 24-21

Dallas at San Diego Parcells got his man Bledsoe Cowboys take this 27-17

Green Bay at Detroit, Favre can’t play in a dome Lions run away with it 24-17

St. Louis at San Francisco, the 49ner’s are a joke Rams run over them 31-17

Indianapolis at Baltimore My upset pick I believe Baltimore has a better offence this year they takes this over the Colts 24-20

My Monday night pick Sep. 12
Philadelphia at Atlanta, Vic has to connect with his receivers early in the game to open up the running game against the Eagles great run defense. And I’m doubtful of the T.O. and Mcnabb situation being o.k. Falcons barely gets this one 27-24

I read my picks over and over again their final I swear on the lives of the members of U.M. laugh.gif to not edit this post!

I know right, it took them all the first half to score a field goal. I know the raven offence is not that great but wow The Colts got defense this year!

Falcons and Eagles put on a pretty good show last night. Falcons won 14-10. Did you see Michael Vick's jump into the end-zone? That were pretty cool. yes.gif

Now to reflect on my picks and the games I watched

QUOTE(Super Pancake @ Sep 9 2005, 11:32 AM)
Chicago at Washington, Redskins over the Cubs 27-14
Well it was a good guess who would win but geez The Redskins won without one TD

Cincinnati at Cleveland, a tough call but the Bengals win their opener 21-7
Good job by the bengals scored even more then I thought

Denver at Miami, A tough match for the untested Nick Saban, Broncos have this  31-24
ohmy.gif Miami beat Denver a playoff contender in my opinion, and its also brings a revelation that Denver does not have a good QB when their running game is shutdown as we saw maimi did

Houston at Buffalo, the Texans get better every year Carr wins it 20-17
sad.gif I like the Texans to bad they lost

New Orleans at Carolina, Katrina probably has the Saints down, Panthers win it 24-21
Well don't I feel stupid it looks like Katrina helped the saints win against a Superbowl contender in my mind

N.Y. Jets at Kansas City, Pennington will have a shaky start but can win it 24-17
angry.gif See what happens when you give the Jets to much credit, they lose typical of them, KC even gave pity on them and let them score at the end of the game. Pathetic they did not deserve to score

Seattle at Jacksonville, The Seahawks can be playoff contenders they have this 31-14
mad.gif damn seahawks, everybody is all for them to be playoff contenders

Tampa Bay at Minnesota, No more Randy Moss no more wins Tampa has this game 24-20
laugh.gif Yeah somebody cant throw a pass without Randy Moss to catch it anymore

Tennessee at Pittsburgh, Mcnair is the better QB but Steelers have the better D-fence and running game Steelers 24-17
original.gif no suprises here the titans got spanked

Arizona at N.Y. Giants, Eli ain’t no Payton a close game but this is a homer pick Giants if you can believe 24-21
Well it was a homer pick but a good pick and the giants Played good Eli still not as Good of a Qb everybody wants him to be!

Dallas at San Diego Parcells got his man Bledsoe Cowboys take this 27-17
ohmy.gif I took a risk on this but I'm stilll on the fence Bledsoe being a top QB I need to see more wins out of him

Green Bay at Detroit, Favre can’t play in a dome Lions run away with it 24-17
ohmy.gif O.K. I did not expect Favre to be any good in a dome but this is serious greenbay might not make it to the playoffs or win any more games, now that they got no wide recievers, a running game or a defense

St. Louis at San Francisco, the 49ner’s are a joke Rams run over them 31-17
ohmy.gif the 49ner's won a game!

Indianapolis at Baltimore My upset pick I believe Baltimore has a better offence this year they takes this over the Colts 24-20
original.gif Indy got a defense this year I'm impressed maybe they can finally beat the Pats

My Monday night pick Sep. 12
Philadelphia at Atlanta, Vic has to connect with his receivers early in the game to open up the running game against the Eagles great run defense. And I’m doubtful of the T.O. and Mcnabb situation being o.k. Falcons barely gets this one 27-24
tongue.gif Vic still can't throw but boy the Falcons can sure run the ball

Well, when you have 4 seconds on the field and you aren't even in fieldgoal range...throw the stupid ball as far as you can and hope one of your receivers catches the thing. If he doesn't you lose. If he does your a hero and you win. Pulling stupid stunt pass, flicker plays is just so much BS and I am ashamed they even tried something like that. DAmbit Gumby...Dallas has a p[roblem and his name is Jerry Jones. He's a jinx. He should never...never...ever...go down on the field. He just can't help himself. Needless to say I was a very disappointed Cowboys fan after that game vs the Redskins! It will surely go down as one of the all time classics between these two teams.

It was not Jerry Jones fault (remember, the owner that helped bring this team three Super Bowl titles in the 90's?!) or Drew Bledsoe's fault they lost, the defense is sqarely to blame for this one. When the same guys get burnt TWICE on basically the same play (Aaron Glenn & Roy Williams), then they deserved to lose.

It also did not help that they missed a field goal in the first quarter.

Now if anyone can be blamed on offense, it's Terry Glenn for running a 1 yard pass route on 4th & 2 (on their next to last posession) when they were almost in field goal range!

I can't believe i'm saying this, but congrats to the Redskins and their fans, your team hung in there and found a way to win!

Falco Rex, I also live in New England, and though I have never been a Pats fan, it's good to see them doing so well. The diehards like yourself up here have been waiting a long time for it!

Hey Super Pancake,

Man, that's interesting you said that. That game was suppose to be hosted in Houston Texas since we offered the Reliant Stadium to the Saints which would have worked out perfectly since my other 2 best friends, one from Brooklyn and the other from New Orleans. We go to our sports bar every Sunday. We were so close to able to go watch that game if the Saints would have excepted, but they declined. Word is, they are really deciding to sell the Saints to San Antonio. That's why there home games will be there.

What a sad game, LSU playing for the people of new orleans and they get it rubbed all over their faces blowing a 21 point half time lead blink.gif and you have to admit the ref's blew the most obvious holding call I ever seen on UT, I bet the game would have been different if it was called.

I am closely affected by what all Hurricane Katrina brought, and by no means do I show sympathy for New Orleans. It's interesting to experience all the rubbish about New Orleans because they were not hit the hardest. They get media from all of the crime they produced. Seems the only ones wanting to stay are the one doing all the looting for TV's and valuble electronics. I uinderstand looting for food and water is for survival, but masterial iteams. FEMA gave these families each a $2,000.00 dwebit card, and what do some of these people do?, they try to use it to purchase jewelry and let their children stay in a shelter and starve? Why is it that almost a thousand perish but Texas evacuated and the lost life count for us was 30? Because we listen instead of having looting on our minds. Now, they are starting to loot our city. So for all the people from Louisiana, Texas has a message..." you loot, we shoot." Legally.....Get your lazy butts in gear and go get jobs, quit blaming it on others and declare it as a racist issue. Get off welfare people!

They lost the game, simply because they stink, and starting with Aaron Brooks. It's not as though the Saint were affected, as they were practicing in California at the time.
