Damn...40-0... Well, that will end once the Vikes come to Soldier field.

Go vikes, with their win over the Lions.

The Philly/Dallas game was great, but there were some big injuries this week...Fitzgerald and LJ are injured.

Drew Bledsoe is a complete sh*thead. I do nothing but root for the guy because he and Parcells helped to put the Patriots on the map. But man, Drew always finds a way to screw it up-- he does that now and he did that in New England. I'm tired of investing my emotional energy into this guy only to have him let me down year after year. It seems like the older he gets the dummer he gets, not wiser. In fact, it's a miracle that Parcells was even able to make it to a Superbowl with Bledsoe at the helm. I guess he used to listen alot more back then, now he thinks that he's a really smart veteran.

Hope so. The bears are starting to look like they are on a mission to destroy anyone in thier way. It would be nice to see Minnesota hang a loss on them.

Agreed. The Lions are pitiful, but getting back on track with a divisional win is always nice. thumbsup.gif

You forget Mike Peterson with the Jaguars. Losing a star linebacker on a contending team for the rest of the year is always devestating.

Speaking of the Jags, their second RB Drew (dash something...I forgot) Is playing really well.

As soon as I read your post I forgot his name too. But yea he is playing very well. I think Jacksonville dosen't get the respect they deserve, they are pretty much a very solid team all the way around.
frogfish
Oh Definitely! I'm really looking forward to this week...

Me too. Football is not a hobby, its a way of life. thumbsup.gif GO VIKES!!!!

Now I'm sorry to be harping on the same thing again, but I forgot to mention the worst part about Drew Bledsoe throwing away that game against Philly. After he throws that pick he doesn't even try to catch the guy that intercepted the ball. He had a good chance to make a play, and instead he just slows down and lets the guy run off with the victory. What a loser! angry.gif

Whooohooo! The Philly/New Orleans game was sweet! That was a great game. Came down to Carney. Great job NO!

YEAAAAAA Baby! Seahawks 4 -1 !

I watch CFL however, and I'm probably the only one on here who does.

Anyways, the seemingly unbeatable BC LIONS lost the first playoff game against the underdog CALGARY STAMPEDERS. Was a good game, it was inevitable that Calgary would win more than 1 in there last 9 games against BC.

Check the series out if you live up north. grin2.gif

CFL isn't bad, just different from NFL rules there is some great football talent in Canada. Don't get much of a chance to watch it, every now and then ESPN will carry some CFL games and I'll sit and watch them.

Nice comeback win for Seattle yesterday. This weekend was one of the best in recent memory. Most of the games were decided in the fourth quarter, and they were close 7 points or less. And how 'bout them Auburn Tigers, looking good!! It isn't a good thing to be ranked #2 in the NCAA this year. Who's next? Ohio State looks like they're on a mission. GO BUCKEYES!!! Michigan(unfortunatley) looking strong, could there be a #1 vs. #2 in Columbus in a few weeks? IMO if Ohio State and Michigan keep it up, and when they clash it could be considered the National Championship game. Lots of great footbll this past weekend, made the game even more exciting to watch.
frogfish
Michigan vs USC. BCS title game!

Except for the Lions, it has been a great year for Michigan sports! Go Michigan!

LT punched in 4 TDs...wow!

Man cards got a tough game tonight against the bear i wonder what the odds are.

I kinda fell sorry for Leinart

edit
Oh Snap! Cards up a touchdown

edit
20 to zip cards this could be the upset of the year

edit
it was to good to be true can't believe the bears came back only having the defence score most of the points

Up until late in the fourth quarter, I thought the odds were good for the Cardinals

Leinart did everything a rookie could do to win last night, James needs to be jack-slapped for coughing up the ball. Unbelievable!!!!!!

I thought so to and it should have been, but the Cardinals everyone has come to know and love showed up late in the game. I could say I feel sorry for them, but they had that game won!!!! WTF happened? Being ahead 23-3 with 5 seconds left in the third quarter usually means getting into field goal range and putting it away. Not getting into a dog fight with 2 minutes left in the forth quarter!! What even makes this more sad(if possible) is the fact the Bears didn't have 1 offensive touchdown. NOT ONE!!!! Grossman threw 4 picks(6 Bears turnovers total). Usually that means a loss, except when playing who? Yep, you guessed it the Arizona Cardinals.

Super Pancake
woah check out the comment from Dennis Green i don't blame him I would of flipped and just start shooting people if I was head coach of the Cards. It must be tough to win when your a team that usually loses all the time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1h71vEQtCM

But the coach should of taken over the offence from the offensive coordinator and play more aggressive by passing the ball. Leinart played well he could of easily scored again but instead they ran they have james carry for 36 for 55 yards. I'd retire if i was him or pull a T.O. and and force a trade.
frogfish
Bears didn't win that game, Arizona lost the game.

The only people that played good for ARizona was Leinart, Boldin, and the Cards Defense.
ohio tsunami
Dennis Green sounded like a man with a gun to his head. I don't blame him. The Cardinals should have won that game. I don't know what the future in Arizona holds for him, but I kind of think it's going to be grim.

Arizona for years has had the talent to be a contender, but why can't they win? I was hoping Dennis Green would become another version of Marvin Lewis in Arizona. But, you have to have a team that wants to win and is showing it. After what I saw Monday night, I was shocked. 30 other teams in the NFL would have put a loss on the Bears, why not Arizona?

James fumbling the ball in a critical situitation was the knife in the gut. He is a Pro Bowl back, he knows not to fumble in key situitations. It's kind of like a curse. Curse of the Bambino my a** try Curse in the Desert.

Super Pancake
The offencive coordinator for the cards was canned yesterday. While it is mostly his fualt the cards lose Green also is responsible he should of stepped in and taken the game over after the bears D was stuffing the running game.
ohio tsunami
I imagine after this embarrassment, more heads are going to be cut off in Arizona. Dennis Green is a good coach. But if he keeps his job the rest of the year, he needs to get control of this team right now not next week or any time there after. He needs to tighten his grip and make the players on this team want to win or go somewhere else. There is no reason under the sun on God's little green Earth why the Cardinals look this horrid week in and week out. They have way too much good young talent for that.
snuffypuffer
Indeed. And Edgerrin James should lose the starting job. He's turning out to be a bust.

Yes he should. I imagine the only reason they keep him as a starter is due to what they are paying him. With that being said, if the Cardinals want to become a legitimate franchise they need to determine who is going to carry them there now not wait until next year's pre-season. They should go through thier roster and go position by position and determine who is going to be of use to the team and who they are going to have to replace in the off season. Edgerin James, in my honest opinion, should be dealt away, better to do it now than wait until the rest of the league realises he's overrated.

lol the roller coaster that is the Dallas cowboys continue. they lose a game horrible fashion one week and Bill Parcels looks like he going to die of a heart attack during the game, then the next week they pull a comeback and go home heroes.

And Micheal Vick passing the ball for touchdowns again. He can run now he can pass.
ohio tsunami
The Dallas Cowboys are a rollercoaster heading for derailing. This team is not a good enough to make a serious threat for IMO even the playoffs. I will say, however, Romo looked pretty solid last night against that tough Carolina defense. If Micheal Vick can develope his passing attack to be more accurate, then he could be almost unbeatable. He did look good yesterday. Real good!
frogfish
Colts vs. Patriots baby! Go Manning, smoke em'!

I want revenge!
Triniant
I don't like the colts, but am I glad they won, wow, what is that 5 or 6 straight in Foxboro?

Cowboys beat themselves again and lose in a great rivalry; Giants = Tiki, he is that good, because without him...done.

How about the saints? I know, it's a feel good story, but you got to remember - Drew Brees isn't a nobody, McAllister is a stud, Horn, age, but productive, and Bush, defenses focus on that dude and what about their defense; playing better than thought.

The Miami legacy continues......boy do they have the bears' number.

KC looks like it's getting Hermed up!

Don't sleep on Baltimore.

Man, it looks like this is going to be another great NFL season.
Super Pancake
Louisville vs Rutgers tonight, this is like the biggest game in college football whoever wins will rock this BCS crap system again. I hope Rutgers win and go undefeated just to show the flaw in the BCS system.

Imagine if the NFL was like that then the finals would have been Colts vs Seahawks instead of Seahawks vs Steelers.

Who do you think last years NFL season was the best team was it the team that won the championship game or the team that won the most games?

And a more general question should the best team in any sport or league be the team that won the most games in the regular season or the team that wins the championship?

Agree, if Rutgers should win, I would hope that the NCAA will seriously consider a playoff system.

The team that won/wins the whole thing. Give it to the Steelers, regardless of their record or anything else, they won (the refs add that "we are human and make errors" effect).

The team that wins it all, that is what's great about the playoffs, everyone involved has a chance. Hey if you don't come ready to play, look forward to the offseason and working on your golf game.

That is what I love about NCAA basketball, the 64 team line-up is genius.

No discredit to Mr. Colston, but he is able to prosper because of the names I mentioned, which equals a blessing in disguise for himself and the saints. And it makes NO that much more dangerous. Leading ROY candidate, by far.

Crazy week in the NFL man peoples prediction must be messed up all over the board.

Go Eric Mangini! Did you see Belichick's reaction?

Judgement Day is Saturday!!! Michigan vs OSU, and my HS team Canton vs Rockford in the Stae Div 1 Semis. 1 win away froma tri-peat appearance to the state finals!

Oh, and Michigan will win because of Harris and the defense.
frogfish
How about Emmitt Smith winning Dancing with the Stars? He was good!
Super Pancake
Well he got the popularity vote, Mario Lopez was the better dancer by a mile, well thats what my sister told, it ain't like I watched the show or anything! Even if Emmit was in it i just don't watch that kind of stuff. Cause I'd rather watch Emmit play football, cause that's what he does.

Michigan vs OSU TODAY!
frogfish
God, we did too little to late...OSU seemed unstoppable in the first half, but Michigan proved they were just as good...We just ran out of time. Henne and Hart were great.

The personal foul on the 3-and-15 was a killer.
As long as UofM stays #2, I'm happy. Revenge in the Nat'l Championship!
snuffypuffer
O State and Michigan playing again for the national championship just seems wrong to me. Although whoever OSU plays will be more of a victim than an opponent. Either of those teams winning, the national championship game will be more or less a formality.

I just have misgivings about two teams from the same conference playing in the championship game.
Super Pancake
^ looks like your steelers are making a run for the playoffs It would be the biggest comeback in NFL season if the Steelers make the playoffs
snuffypuffer
I don't think they're out of the woods yet, but they are putting it all back together. I'd love to see them back in the playoffs, Cowher would become a legend if he pulled it off. yes.gif
Super Pancake
And that roller coaster team the Cowboys are at it again. The last thing I would thought that they would beat the Colts even though everything was in the favor for Dallas. I don't know what to think of this team.
frogfish
QUOTE

No it doesnt. Those two are CLEARLY the two best teams.

And Michigan will win. original.gif
snuffypuffer
I think the national championship was decided with that game. That being said, the losing team shouldn't get another shot. Michigan is pretty much a lock for the Rose Bowl, no doubt about that. But two teams from the same conference in the championship, just strikes me funny. Anyhow it's not up to us to decide, the voters and BCS computer whatsits will take care of that.
