Hell no my Giants are basically out of the race at this moment, my JETS have to get in were to good to lose our last two games. Also Cinci has to lose and I believe Jags have to lose out to for the Titans to get in.
Please the god that be that probably don't exist anyway, the Eagles most lose to Dallas and whoever they have left to play, and help Eli play as good as his brother to win his next game, I promise i will stop touching myself.
lol that there can be a scenario that a 7-9 team from the NFC can take the final wild card spot.
What happen to the NFC? Its like the NBA eastern conference.

What happened to the NFC? It runs in cycles man. Look at the AFC when Dallas and San Francisco owned the superbowls. I mean they won like 5 of like 6 just those two teams. Anyway... I believe the AFC drafts better and signs better FAs as of right now. And the AFC owns the NFC in about every game they play.

And its not like the those NFC teams did not have there AFC counterparts in the Broncos, Bills, Raiders, Chiefs and Dolphins, frogfish. Look back in the records its not like the AFC were out of there league back then
I'm talking about seasonal game it was not like the AFC were playing poorly, they still had there fair share of teams with good winning records in the 90's

Well, barring any major-league upsets in week 16, it looks like the playoff teams will be as follows:
AFC East:: New England
AFC South: Indy
AFC North: Baltimore
AFC West: San Diego
AFC Wildcards: N.Y Jets and Denver
NFC East: Philly
NFC South: New Orleans
NFC North: Chicago
NFC West: Seattle
NFC Wildcars: Dallas and NY Giants
Other than the great come-back seasons of the Saints and N.Y. Jets, it looks like everything else has fallen into place just as expected(I would call Baltimore and not Cincy winning The AFC North a bit of a surprise) other than 1 or 2 surprises(Phillip Rivers playing so well in his rookie "starting" season was a bit surprising, also).....Boy, it looks like The Seahawks won The NFC West by default, lol.....and where are all of those people that were touting The Cardinals for the playoffs?..................probably hanging-out with the same people who thought The Fins would make the playoffs...

The Cards stink..they have stunk..and I don't care what aging, over-the-hill, helplessly past they're prime veteran they bring-in(not to say that Edge is past his prime per-say, but it just dosen't seem to matter WHO they bring-in as a free-agent)..as long as The Bidwells own The Cards, they will ALWAYS suck.
The Fins have QB issues, and until those issues are resolved, they will not be able to challenge for the AFC East crown........but on the bright side, they're not The Cards, lol.

Just curious about what everyone's opinion about the statements made by Jason Taylor of the Miami Dolphins and Ron Jaworski of ESPN in regards to Shaun Merriman:
QUOTE
Despite crediting Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman as ''one of the best young talents we have in this game defensively,'' Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor said Wednesday that Merriman shouldn't be eligible for any postseason honors this year.
Merriman, a Pro Bowl linebacker who is Taylor's main competition for Defensive Player of the Year, was suspended four games this year for violating the league's steroid policy.
''A performance-enhancing drug is, obviously, what it is,'' Taylor said Wednesday. ``You enhance your performance.
``It's against the rules and, ultimately, I think it's sending the wrong message to the youth in America and the people who look at this game not only as entertainment but also to learn lessons from it for the young kids who play football.''
Merriman, who leads the league with 16 sacks despite missing four games, blamed his failed test on unknowingly ingesting a tainted supplement.
''If I wasn't having the kind of season I'm having, this wouldn't even be a conversation,'' Merriman told The Associated Press in response to Taylor's comments.
I myself, think he has a point.

No doubting that he's a great player...but to play the "tainted-supplements" card..

...I ain't buyin that one, believe me, these million-dollar athletes have trainers, doctors, and personal chefs catering to their every whim, word, and fancy...there is nothing going into their(and the million-dollar investments of the teams themselves) bodies(supplement-wise) that hasn't been checked, re-checked, double-checked and triple-checked, beacuse a player like Merrimen...making the money he's making...not on the field, is a wasted investment(not to mention that if he has the unfortunate happenstance to ingest more "tainted" supplements he gets the boot for a year) and is time away from his team where he could be putting pressure on the passer and making offenses change what they want to do to account for him....no, he knew something was up, the masking agent he used just diddn't work well-enough, that's all.
Super Pancake
Dec 30 2006, 12:36 AM
FACT: Shawne Merriman tested positive for a banned performance-enhancing drug.
FACT: He said it was tainted and he was going to sue the company who makes the drug, he never got around to doing that and took the suspension.
With that in mind personally I think he should not get any post season honors also. I also believe the NFL should not make up rules and regulations in the middle of the season. So he should be eligible for any honor he qualifies for, I just hope that next year the NFL will make life in the NFL tougher for cheaters.

And thats a valid point but a cheater is a cheater, are we supposed to just forget about that. I would not like him to get anything, but as i said before the NFL should not make up rules in the middle of the season, but next year players who are caught cheating should not deserve any honors for that season. I also hope they put an asterisk next to his record for this season stating he was caught using illegal performance enhancing drugs.

If The Chargers, having home-field throught The Playoffs, aren't the AFC representitive in The Superbowl it would be MAJOR news, I don't think that there is a team in The AFC playing better right now, and The Patriots(as good as Brady is) would have to go to San Diego to beat them(cross-country), and that is no easy task. So I'd have to look for San Diego out of the AFC(but if I would give a chance to anybody to take them down in the AFC, it would be Baltimore).
The NFC isn't nearly so simple....I like New Orleans...I think that Rex Grossman stll has one more bad game in him this year(unfortunately, that's all it takes in The Playoffs), Seattle is just happy to be there, and if I had to pick out of a hat of Dallas, Philly, NY I would have to go with Dallas(they can run the ball, play good solid defense, and Parcells is no stranger to doing or saying whatever it takes to get to the big game).

Yeah there not the Cardinals but then again everyday the Cards look like the hot new young teams to coach in the future. The AFC east is tough no real room for improvement over the Pats, Jets, they even have a tough time playing the Bills. Plus the D is getting old and still no definite QB in the future. I agree, they are light-years away from the Marino "air-it-out" years...but those years(as great as Marino was) never produced a Championship either....what I don't understand, is why there so much trouble finding a coach to come in and coach a storied franchise like The Fins, and have a chance to be the toast of a town where(and I don't care if The Heat just won a World Championship) football is, and always will be, king.

I guess at this point, you take whatever "little victories" you can get, eh?
Seriouly though, The Fins are talking about Cam Cameron(offensive coordinator for San Diego) and Russ Grimm and Ken Whisenhunt(assistant coaches with The Steelers) as possible Head Coaching candidates in Miami.....

.....I wouldn't have a problem with Cameron, he's VERY well respected around the league(young and innovative of offense) or Grimm, I remember Russ Grimm from his days as a "hog" on the offensive line for the old Redskins teams of the 80's and early 90's, a tough-as-nails no nonsense coach who is just as respected as a coach as he was as a player(and besides, who's gonna mess-around with a coach named 'Grimm", lol).....I think either one would be acceptable as a Head Coaching candidate......I DON'T like Whisenhunt, he just reminds me too much of Mike Mularkey(current offensive coordinator of The Fins...A.K.A. Capt. Conservative), too many "trick/gadget plays". I don't think the college ranks are a good place to go at this point(given the recent turn of events with Nick Saban), and while coaches like Bobby Petrino and Kirk Ferentz are very good coaches, people down here in S. Fla. are a little sour on the college ranks.
Dom Capers(former Head Coach of both The Panthers and The Texans and current def. coordinator/assist. Head Coach) could be a possible candidate as well, only beacuse of his familiarity with the current players and coaches...a darkhorse.
