I think they should have a contest on who can make the most convincing crop circle with the least bit of materials.

Some university students tried to do one. They did it, but they had a lot of bulky equipment and it took them four hours to do it. Some of the crop circles seem to made in an instant.

Also, the contestants should have the maximum time, it takes that the witnesses have reported seeing them being made.

There have been TV specials (I know, I know..) that have shown groups of people creating crop circles over the span of dusk to dawn using wooden planks attached to rope (the would hold it like a children's swingset and stomp the grass down)

They should do something big, you know, just to see how good people can be if they realy want to. There could be a prize or something.

I think it is impossible to imitate a crop circle.

I think all of the intricately designed crop circles are man-made, and it isn't very difficult to do it if you have a small team of people with a decent level of education. This would help to distract people from real crop circles.

The real crop circles would likely be the ones that are only one circle..... from a saucer shaped UFO landing... maybe there might be two or three circles from a few UFO's, maybe even a rectangle shaped "crop circle" from a cylinder shaped UFO. But not the intricate designs, seemingly created for no reason at all.

I am assuming that the original crop circles that started the craze were only simple circular imprints indicating a UFO landed, nothing more. Over time the focus was transferred to something completely different.... space aliens making designs in fields.... which turns out to actually be humans making designs in fields....

If you can genetically mutate the crop circle using a wooden plank,
then I'll be surprised. My belief is that heavy radiation is involved.

I would like to see the evidence for "intricately designed" genetically mutated crop circles.

If they were circular crop circles, indicating a UFO landed, then maybe it is possible that traces of radiation could be found (if UFO's give off radiation), along with possibly genetically altered plants around the surrounding area.(If that's what radiation does to plants)

there was a contest held not long ago, possibly in england i dont remember where teams of three or four people tried to make circles that came close to the quality of 'genuine' circles. They did it at night with the basic equipment (wood planks, flashlights), and only had a few hours, and the result was many people doing very well matching the quality of most crop circles found. I saw it on the dvd "quest for truth"

There are the two varieties. The intricate man-made ones and the basic circle. The intricate ones have been pretty well established as man-made but the basic circle is the anomaly. There are historical references dating back hundreds of years and there are weird readings at the sites of the basic circles. I'll stick with magnetism though as the reason.

Anomalies in genuine crop circles that cannot be duplicated:
-Stalks that are bent, not broken (nodes are elongated)
-Cells in elongated nodes are elongated as well
-Radioactive isotopes in soil are not found in test samples outside circle
-Magnetic fields (found with dowsing rods) surround genuine formations
-Batteries can be drained of power (cell phone, and regular batteries, even unopened packs)
-Size and time, 300m square formation(s) have been found, when calculated, a circle was formed every 30 seconds.

The problem with Proving how crop cirlcles are made, is there is no evidence of anyone being able to bend the nodes, or mutate them in such ways they appear in alot of crop circles.

in Canada most circles are found by farmers during harvest in August and September, who often literally stumble across them as it were while combining.

Lab analysis studies have repeatedly found unexplained biophysical anomalies in plant and soil samples taken from a large number of crop circle formations, including: swollen, stretched, burst or split nodes on plant stems in a manner similar to 'microwave energy effects' (rapid intense internal heating of the plant stems), dehydrated / shrunken seeds and significant changes in seed germination and growth rate (either faster or slower than normal). In some cases, otherwise normal seed pods are found to be empty (no seed development at all).

These effects are not reproduceable by conventional hoaxing methods (ie. boards, rope, feet, etc.), and have been found in simple circles as well as some of the much more complex patterns. Test circles made by researchers for comparison purposes and known man-made formations do not show these kinds of pronounced changes

In 1998, several formations in England were found to contain dead flies adhered to the plant stalks, which were dehydrated as if they had been 'baked', consistent with the involvement of some form of microwave-type energy. Smaller insects inside the seed pods were also dead. Flies and other insects outside of the formations were normal.

Some of the things that happen around here in canada, that are getting to be known more now, is Ice rings.

These appear in little ponds or lakes situated near farmers land. These are something that nobody can really explain, simply because of how thin the ice is, and nobody can really stand on it, without cracking it or anything.

Like crop circles, most have appeared overnight, although there are various theories as to how these may be natural in origin, involving underwater vents or currents affecting the surface ice, in particular those rings with diffused edges or "splash patterns". In some cases though, the rings have been almost perfect circles, cleanly incised into the ice with smooth, sharp edges, such as at Delta, Ontario in 2000. Most of these have been in thin surface ice, too thin for a person to have walked on.



Now with that said and done, what makes you think that this could even get close to proving that they are done by us?

Yeah... Crop circles are a REAL mystery! But the way I see it, is that it has a purpose. If the aliens posess UFO technology, they might as well
posess some sort of communications device that links them togather
so the aliens can talk to each other. They're not trying to communicate to themselves when they are making crop-cricles. So, it is intended for
us if not for them. I think some people can read the crop cricles.

O.K. take the peace sign crop circles and have someone duplicate how it is done and then I may believe they are made by humans. Could they be made by humans with some sort of radiation technology unfamilar to the "regular" person?
Well that could be possible to, but if you knew that technology wouldn't you be trying to make money from it?
