Occasionally I have these brief, but clear dreams that I am doing certain things. Months or even years before certain things happen, I do what I perceived what I would be doing, but I have no idea when things happen. It first happened when I had a dream about a math test, and how the teacher was disappointed in the class. Another, more weird this time, was about 2 years before I actually did the thing, which was being in art class and doing a particular thing with geometry.
I've really haven't had any big go through, you know like world shaking events. I have weird dreams though.

thehutch-
I know what you're talking about. I've had some dreams that were really insignificant but unusual, then they would happen within about a week of having the dream.
I don't know what they mean, if anything. For two nights, I had a dream all about different colors of licorice (don't ask me why) and a few days later I was at a friend's graduation ceremony, and walking across the parking lot, there was licorice all over the parking lot. We met later at a cafe, and again, there was a container full of licorice. It doesn't mean a thing in itself, but I sometimes wonder if it's just the beginning of some sort of prophetic dream development.
I had another dream recently about working for this older man. He was balding, grey hair, a bit of a tummy, and big bushy dark eyebrows. THe next day I started my first day of summer class and my professor was absolutely identical to the man in my dream. I'd never seen him before, and I have no idea why I dreamt about him beforehand. It didn't even occur to me at first that he was the man in my dream, but he seemed oddly familiar, and then it hit me.
That was quite the feeling. It's kind of cool, but really pretty eery at the same time.
Like I said, these dreams you have may be just the beginning to something larger. Of course, about two months ago, I had a very vivid dream about a bus overturning in my area and in the dream I was looking at a menu of some sort and it gave a time and a date. Those dates aren't here yet, so I'm really hoping it was just my over active imagination!!
