About a week ago I discovered a bruise-mark on my arm. I'm absolutely sure that I haven't hit my arm, not even in my sleep. There's nothing at the side of my bed that could have made that kind of mark.

It's like a thin line, about 7-8 cm long (2,5 to 3 inches.. I think..)
It's not as deep down into the skin as a normal bruise.

Our new appartment has got some sort of paranormal activity, I'm just not yet sure what to classifie it as.. blink.gif ph34r.gif

There's got to be at least a hundred possible explanations for a bruise you didn't notice getting. I don't think I'd reach for Paranormal as an explanation yet regardless of whether anything is happening in your new place or not..
By the end of an average week most people have at least one two bruises or scratches they can recall ever feeling happen..
UfosOverPhoenix
It could have happened during an alien abduction... alien.gif

Exactly. I get tones of bruises everyday, and I have no idea where they came from. And I don't bruise very easily either.

hahaha, mystical bruise.

Ruthie
If I had a pic of it I would have posted it, and if I could write better in english I would have explained better.
When I say that I'm absolutely sure it means that I'm absolutely sure, if I didn't mean it I wouldn't have written it..

It's not like I'm desperately trying to find something paranormal, and I do get bruises that I don't remember getting. (This one was fresh when I first saw it, among other things that tells me that I didn't hit my arm against something.)
The bruise may be connected to the resent spiritual activity in the house, or it may not.

But never mind, just let this thread die please, I now know it was a mistake to post it in the first place.

Don't let the resident skeptics run you off, Ruthie. You have to go with your gut feelings. If you think it may be connected with paranormal activity, it probably is.

I'm with Pyro. I always go with the gut feelings. They were put in all of us for a reason, no different than fight or flight. thumbup.gif

Thanks Pyro and Haunted One! thumbsup.gif

I know that bruises is no strange thnig when it comes to paranormal happenings.

And I know what have happened in our appartment lately..

I didn't explain it good enough in my first post.
But seriously, "Beeing friends with a demon, I see strange creatures, and so on.. What is soooo weird about a bruise caused by energies?

The first answeres of this thread just reminded me why I stopped posting in the first place, I wanted forums with more grown up users.

Well, have a nice weekend everyone!
I'm almost drunk, and I deserve it.

(In Norway we have a saying: "It's from children, and drunk people you get the truth." )

I'm sorry if you didn't like my response to your post Ruthie, but you posted and I gave you my take. If you're absolutely sure you didn't hit your arm than fine and good. But from your description it sounds more like a burst capillary than an actual bruise.
There may be any number of causes for that too, and some of those possibilities might suggest a medical check-up is in order. You may not like the Skeptical viewpoint or not care if it's paranormal or not, but the topic title was "Mystical" bruise after all. You can't really expect all members to just accept or not question or wonder about it at all..
This is an open forum for people of all mindsets after all. And being able to accept all points of view to a topic you start without being discouraged or angered is a "Grown-up" way of taking things isn't it?
I merely bring that last part up as a rebuttal. It seems you were jumping to conclusions about our mentality yourself. Do you really think it was justified?
For my part this is a forum for mysteries. And mysteries are there to be solved. To do this you apply logic based on what you already know to be fact. If that falls flat you dig deeper..
But anyway. If someone posts a mystery on a site about mysteries expect opinions or questions..The love-in is down the hall..

I bruise easily and I tend to have problems with short term memory, because most of the time I can't remember how I got them. hubby gets worried someone's going to actually think that he's abusing me. Which he isn't.

But maybe you have the same problem. I mean it's not that uncommon.

Ruthie, I stand by what I said about your gut feeling. To Falco and others, yes, this is about mysteries and I do agree that you can't jump to conclusions that everything is automatically a pararnormal experience. The reason I told Ruthie to go with her assumption was because it appeared to me that she was already experiencing something of that nature, and had already gone through the rule out process. It didn't sound to me like she just woke up one day and said : "Oh look! A bruise! I must be having a paranormal experience."

This is why I told her to go with her "gut feeling", which we all have, which is no different than "fight or flight". I'm sorry if I started some kind of controversy or offended any of you. sad.gif

Thank you!

And about the name of the thread "Mystical" is just used because I didn't know what else to call it, as I'we said before I'm not that good in english.

I'm not angry, I just don't like beeing laughed at when I post a serious thread. I don't think that is a very "grown-up" thing to do.

But, no hard feelings from me.

Have a nice weekend! wink2.gif

rolleyes.gif Not that good at English? I don't know if you mean that English is a second language to you or not, if it is, I applaude you! Take a good look around... you do a fine job. grin2.gif

I do understand, also, about being laughed at. When you are experiencing a problem of what you believe to be from POSSIBLE, OR NOT, (to the hard-core skeptics) paranormal origins, you come somewhere like here for help, or to share. Sometimes it just helps to talk about it. Not everybody has someone in their life that they can share this type of talk with, so they end up here or somewhere like it thinking they will find open minds, people with similar experiences, support, suggestions, whatever....but not laughter. sad.gif Humour DOES have it's place, and it's a good thing, but you were being serious, and you're right, it isn't very grown-up. sad.gif Just take heart in knowing that there are some very grown up knowledgeable people out there who will take things seriously, and hopefully they will be the ones to post, and anyone who only wishes to poke fun will refrain from doing so. thumbsup.gif

I'm from Norway, so norwegian is my language, but we learn english in school. I may spell ok, but I can't always find the right words to explain correctly. But thanks again! blush.gif original.gif

Now I'm going to bed, it's 3:18 at night, so I'm beginning to feel a bit sleepy. blink.gif

Just popping in, I have five buises for today alone, along with six cuts and countless scratches and scraps that i can't remember happening. Si you might wnat to think about that as a possiblity that you just dont remember getting it. Plus the fact it can take a while for a bruise to deleope, so you didn't have to get it in your bed.
