Tomorrow I am setting off on a camping trip which I will be attending a music festival, V2004 too,

I was wondering does anyone have any funny/interesting camping or festival stories theyd like to share with the group.

not yet but hopefully i will...im going to Purple Door on saturday, a christian music fest....should be tons of fun

i was just at a great metal concert with Shadows Fall. there were like 14 bands and it was 10 hours long. i was soo tired when it was over but it was really fun and there were some great bands. the best part was moshing

i went to creation b4...christian music fest... lots of ppl... i dont like lots of ppl...moshing...i dont like being touched by those lots of ppl...i walked out of the crowds, and enjoyed from afar.

I try to stay away from the mosh pit. Getting the crap beaten out of me is not my idea of a fun time at a concert.

the only way you get the crap beat out of you is if you just stand there. and you fall down, then people will help you up. its not like they are mercilessly beating on you. its really quite fun. it also depends on what kind of concert youre at.

Hey ames the line up for v2004 (the posh festival ) isnt as good as it was last year.

U should try t in the park or reading they are the best two festivals.

Youll have a great time though.

The campsite is the best time at the festival ,

Sure the bands are great but the campsite is sum laff gettin a total booze up wiv yer mates an having a generally greta time .

Make sure u take plenty of booze.

Yeh I'm going to reading as well with my sister cos she lives near it.

We're not old enough to drink and theyre apparently being strict on underage drinkers

I went to the K-Rockathon (like the biggest concert around here), there were some good bands, but the funniest thing was all the drunk people. Just watching them walk around was hilarious...

Anyway, my cousin goes to a lot of concert, and one time when he went into the mosh pit, he got hit with one of those big green Hulk hands... I bet that hurt...

back from purple door... it was awesome First real mosh pit experience, and i loved it!! im not a fan of the circle pit tho... its like ok yets mosh, but run as fast as we can while doing it, so if anyone falls, they get trampled!

no really great stories, but it was a blast. it rained and i was absolutely covered in mud. During Project 86 (an awesome band, they rock hard, check em out yall) they started a mud fight in the pit,and completely trashed the stage...all the amps were covered in mud and hay, as was the the singer lol.

this years Static-x, Fear Factory and Korn concert in melbourne was awesome. I broke my nose and my friend dislocated his shoulder.. it was fun

Well, I'm back, and the festival was well good!

The atmosphere was great and the bands were brilliant.

The highlights were: Keane, Scissor Sisters, Dido, Muse, Snow Patrol, Keane, The Thrills, Athlete and the Divine Comedy!

The lowlights were: Cold showers and portaloos!

But it was all well worth it, I'll probably go back next year!

Well, if you went publicly you were likely to be ejected from the site!

We just tried to keep drinking to a minimal, never went in the dark and always went in the ones that were in the campsites because less people used those because they were out of the way and day ticket people didn't have access to them!

The people I feel sorry for are the people who had pitched the tents next to the toilets and showers as it was leaking round there lol!

It's alright for you blokes, you can just pee whenever or however lol, as many did alongside the infamous "pee wall" lol

There were some luxurious ladies loos to use, but there was 2 hours queueing time for that, and we didn't feel like waiting!

It was all worth it though, apparently the loos were good compared to places like glastonbury etc lol

lol believe me the toilets in every other festival are worse ames.

V has a reputation for being the cleanest and poshest music festival.

That takes away the fun i think.

The best peice of advise for any festival is take your on loo roll.

Didn't really see the point in getting drunk as there was only 2 of us...

there was loads of capsite entertainment at T in the park a fun park some mad disco but / tent place a bar loads of shops that all went on till late.

The toilet thing was a joke....going to a festival is all about gettin manky , mucky and having a wild time.

IE: the booze. ok there were about 13 of us but wethere there was 2 of us there or not i woulda went all out an had a wil time.

Festivals are awesome thats just the perfect way to enjoy them and get into the whole spirit of them lol/.

Trust me, gals dont like getting manky lol...

Yeah there was a fun fair, a film tent, shops, and about 5 or so bars, so lots of entertainment

A word of advice for mosh pits: make sure your Chucks are tied tight. Someone stepped on my foot and pulled mine off... almost lost it for good in the mud

Ok, well most girls I know don't like going to manky toilets and not being able to have a shower, but then again most girls I know enjoy basic hygiene, I don't know about girls that you know to be honest.
