I know that race track, i've visited the museum, its very interesting. Also to note that it was a pre war race track and a dangerous one, quite a few racing drivers motorcycles and cars crashed, and because of the lack of saftey devices unfortunatley they died there. The track was cut up in parts during the war as they feared the german aircraft would reconise it and they would know they were close to london. End of history lesson thank you for sharing your experience.

That's an Interesting Story, hell boy. thumbsup.gif

Also, Ghost Guru, thanks for the local history. That helps to substantiate this story.

My Father was a U.S. Army Pilot in WWII, (stationed in England at least during part of The War.) Nevertheless, because of my Dad's Service there, and the fact that we're Jewish, etc, etc,,,I am VERY intrigued by ALL tidbits of information about Europe during THAT era. original.gif

Thanks Again!!!

I would like to lobby for some punctuation every now and again. It makes me less crosseyed, and I can get the gist of your sighting a little better.
