On Sunday, September 9th 2001 Me and two others spotted an object in the sky for aproximently 1 hour and 15 minutes. This all took place in calgary alberta near a local highway, just off near the farmers fields.

I have posted this on the alberta Ufo study group website, and i didnt get much feedback to what it could have been. There was a piece in the Calgary sun done, about other sightings in the same area on that night as well.

Here was the report i posted on the site.

SE Calgary (Near 22X and Deerfoot Trail) - September 9, 2001: At approximately 11 pm, three witnesses saw three lights in a triangular pattern with an orange light on the left and white lights to the right. While they could not see an solid object inside those lights, they believed that they were very close to it, about 100 yards distant. The lights appeared to be about 50 feet above the storm water collection reservoir. These lights eventually started to dim and then finally disappeared but shortly afterward, the witness reports that a "very dim bluish-white colored light, approximately 6 feet in diameter shone down." Some people report after seeing Ufo's that they cant remember anything, well in this case all three of us got back to my house, and started drawing pictures of what we all thought we saw.

We drove to get fast food at around 10:30pm that night, then headed to the fields in search of a cool spot to park and chill out. We always like star gazing, as it is a great time filler.

I was sitting in the back seat of my buddies bronco, and his girlfriend was in the front seat. As we were sitting there, inside his truck eating and talking and what not, Julie noticed an odd redish glow behind the truck about 1500 feet away. We sat there for about 10 minutes just watching this redish glowing light start to morph and change shapes, so we thought there was a fire.

As we were looking at this glow, we se what we first off thought was a shooting star from about 15,000 feet above come right down to around 900 feet and stop there. At first royce says something like "umm shooting stars dont stop in mid air do they? So i pay more attention to the object, and we see it slowly gliding around back and forth.

This object was just like a ball of white light, not much to it really, but being pretty much in the middle of nowhere, looking straight into a large field where there were crops and a resovoir that holds storm water.

We sat there watching this light for what felt like ages. As time passed on , as we sat there watching, we noticed a second light come from the sky and what looked like it attached right to the first ball of light.

As we sat there, royce kept saying stuff like "is that just a truck in the field" or is that just a plane or a helicopter etc etc. We tried to think of every possible thing it could be before we even thought anything was going on.

This is when royce decided we would get a closer veiw, as the object was decending in hight very rapidly. Royce got out of the dirt field we currently were, and drove onto 130th avenue, and we parked right by the fence to the collection resovior.

At this point when we drove to the other spot, we noticed that we could clearly see the lights getting brighter on the left when we went forward, then dim again when we backed up. So at this point we came to the conclusion that this was really a ufo, or as i still think, government does test alot of crazy stuff, so who knows.

As we watched the object hover almost directly over this resivior, we noticed a 3rd light from the sky, this time however it was orange, and it flew in a very odd pattern then finally again attached to the very left side.

As the final object sat there we got right out of royce's truck and stood there. Remember this is calgary so in september the weather is crap, it was cold about 3 degrees celcius.
The second we got out of his truck, we noticed tons of howling ciyotes (sorry spelling)As we looked at the water we could clearly see light reflecting from above it, and we noticed a small dim blue light at the very center bottom of it.
There was as well a redish strip light on the top area of the object after seeing it closer up. The light really made it obvious that this object was triangular in shape, but we could only see a solid black outline of the object, no windows or anything was seen. So yea we got really spooked out just from that then we basically ran back into his truck.

We sat there watching this object that was about 250 feet away from us just about right above his truck just hovering slowly above the resivior.


Royce being the sceptic started actually getting bored of watching this, which i myself was to intruiged by it to even be bothered to leave.

Julie on the other hand was crying, and saying that we should go.

When royce started up his truck, i told him to flash his birghts a couple times to see what happens. The second he flashed the light the 3rd time, we see all 3 objects start spinning around pretty quickly, as it started accending into the sky.
Slowly the entire object disapeared one light at a time till we saw complete darkness.

Now we started all talking now as we sat there, and royce was totally convinced that what we saw was nothing of this origin to our knowledge. I wasen't really looking around in the sky at this point because i thought it was long gone. As i wasent paying attention, i hear royce and julie both scream in terror, and look back at me and say "DID YOU F****N see that"? Julie looked very confused and was stuttering when she was asking me. Royce had his truck running LUCKLY, so he put it in gear and started to haul ass...


I was sitting there yelling at them asking what i missed.
On the way back to my house, royce and julie told me that they saw a blue light hazey light shine down at the truck within 40 feet of it , and when it hit the road area it dissapeared.

To this day i have never experienced anything so scary in my life. Id just really like to know how common sightings like this are, because it still spooks me right out to this day, and im glad i kept a full write up from the very night we saw it.

I dont think this will ever erase from my memory.

Another odd thing is, a year ago, i noticed that i have two very large scoop marks in my left thigh. I wish i could get my digital camera usb cord so i could show you guys it...

Sorry for the long story, but if im going to tell a damn experience i find i shouldn't leave any information out.

Sorry about the quality of the picture, i know its not the exact color of the object, but it shows basically the setting, how dark it was out, and that blue glow underneath it.

Anyone with similar experiences like this, please comment, its been 3 years since i talked about this on the net.

The next day, royce woke up because he had work at 6am. When he got into his truck and tried to start it, it just woulndt no matter what he did.

His dad is very good with mechanics, so he took a look at it and whatnot. His dad was curious to how we seezed the brand new car batery he had bought the week before. Me and royce sat there and explained the entire story to him, and he started to belive us, because he had no explination himself to how it could be dead in a week.

Royce kept his truck in very good condition and never ran badly.



Being 3 years ago, we came up with alot of weird theory's. One of which is when The dim blue light shinned down , it was trying to kill his battery on contact.

As most of you may know, if your car is running, it slowly gives charge to your battery keeping it alive till you shut it off.

I'm always up to hearing about other peoples stoires, if you have anything similar or know people that had this happen to them as well....

Very interesting and very scary. The UFO's in triangular pattern are very common.

I've seen a documentary in the History channel about UFO's(they always do) and they told a story about 4 guys fishing in a lake at night time when they saw a bright light(in which was a UFO). They shined a flashlight toward it and they were under influence of missing time and abduction(I can't tell you now, you'll have to research it if you don't know it).

So, the key was, your friend turned on any sort of device that projects light. Acording to the story just above, a flashlight in this case, triggered a response from the UFO.

The missing segment of the road....it was abducted (my opinion ).

Thats probably where the scoops on your left thigh came from and your car battery was running during abduction.
You don't remember it because "Missing time" is when your abducted and put back in the same spot were you left off. Your memory was erased.

Was the time much later than you had expected when you got home?
If not, you weren't abducted.

I really hope this didn't scare anyone as much as it scares me. This has happened many times, so you are most definetly not alone.

That's really strange!! I'd say it was an abduction. BTW, that pic is really freaky!

That picture could be anything, just looks like two orange dots.......

Hmmm.... methinks yet another "unexplained" UFO site that will turn out to be a plane or something....

It's a very interesting story, i'm not sure what you saw but thanks for sharing.

I'm not the type of person to make things up.

About the sound, at the point when we got out of his truck, we didnt hear any sound at all, other then the cyotes howling alot.

A couple points through out the sighting, we had thought there was a large hill infront of us.

The day after we saw the object, the three of us decided to go back to the area, in the day time to figure some things out. When we arrived we noticed that the land was solid flat, and the only hill that could be spotted was one to our far left hand side.

As we got out of his truck and walked around, we noticed a rather large pile of bird feathers scattered all over the ground and the fence. We walked around and hopped onto the farmers property and took a walk through the small set of trees on the right side.

We noticed alot of indents in the grass, and large zig zag patterns that looked like either cows sat down and took a rest, or some wind created them.

We also found a few cow skulls and bones, so thats why we think we heard the cyotes howling so much.

We didnt really find any physical evidence from walking around that day , but we definatly realized that what we saw that night, was not a vehicle, plane , helicopter, fire, figmint of our imagination, or anything else we could possibly think of for being responsible.

1) The UFO knows that you have been watching them, so they fled(in your experience)

But if it fled off, then why would it be that after 5 minutes of sitting there, the other two people saw a blue light shine down?

My theroy on that, is they use this light to tamper with electronics. But that again, i can never be sure of, because i myself didnt see this light.

2) The UFO knows you are an intelligent form(what else turns on lights?), so they decided to study the person(the story I mentioned).


This however seems to be exactly what happend. We flashed the lights, they then decided it would be better to turn off theirs, but still watch us while it hovered there waiting for a chance to fry my buddies battery.

All three of us belive that, if Royce had his engine turned off, then we would have had something happen to us, but seeming it was already running, we had a chance to get away quickly.

Then royce wakes up the next morning to find his battery completly dead.. So my theory is that they didnt get the chance to abduct us, because the engine was already running, so there for it had no chance to do anything to us.

Yea but i would have been able to see the clock that we were watching as the object hovered around. Im almost positive there was no missing time or anything odd like that.
